1. Fav guitar was Tonyf's blue sparkle Modulus Flea, Fav amp was the Thunderfunk 750 & Dr.Bass cabs Robbie had there - made my P sound frickin wonderful! I dug Nash's Sunn amp through Dood's 6x10 aswell. The GAS is making me feel ill!!!
 2. I'm another one with a guitar or two and here's my fav, hands down: It's a Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus with a pair of matched Bareknuckle Stormy Monday p'ups. The neck one is in the funky Raw Nickel finish. Just wish I could play it like Jimmy Page or Slash
 3. A top day and top blokes! Cheers for organizing it fellas.
 4. Here's my favorite: My '98 USA P with a Badass 3 bridge. Since the picture was taken the Fatfinger has come off and I have changed the electronics. It now sports a SD Vintage pickup with RS Guitarworks Premium Vintage electronics kit.
 5. Nice bass Mate. If I had the funds... Good luck with the sale.
 6. Hello Chaps, I'm going to come and I'll bring my Gibson Les Paul Standard bass & the black Fender PJ that's up for sale at the mo! Looking forward to putting some faces to names, etc. See you on Sunday, Cheers, Jon.
 7. Looking good! Thanks for putting the pictures and commentary up as you go, it's much appreciated and facinating to see. Regards, Jon.
 8.
Sei bass
No I didn't get a quote from them. The rough price guide on the website scared me off! Nice guys and basses though and the work they done on my P is flawless.
 9.
Beautiful graining. It seems a shame to cover it with paint to be honest but either way his work is certainly very impressive.
Hi ednaplate, That's why I've gone for the trans-white finish so that the grain is still partially visible.
 10.
Looking good. Nice to see someone bucking the trend with a P neck on a Jazz - its normally the other way round. I see you are in West London - did you get a quote from the West London builder as well?
Hi Bass_Ferret, I love my P's so thought why not! Who is the West London builder you refer to?
 11.
I got my pics through as well! Good stuff.
Have you put 'em up yet Mike?
 12.
Do you think Jon had a base coat and photo party? Here's mine!!
I think you're right OHM! It makes me chuckle that there's always a batch of pictures popping up on here at roughly the same time from Mr.S. Makes sense though as us guys must do his head in with questions, etc!!!
 13. A much anticipated update from Jon. It seems like forever between updates but when they come through - yowsa!!! Anyway here we have the swamp ash body with it's poly base coat done. Looking good if I don't mind saying so!
 14.
Sorry if I'm being dumb, but why the thro' body stringing on this?
err...it's how it was made by Fender. Is that what you mean?
 15.
I think a clear guard would look swish :-)
+1 on this idea for me. What a lovely guitar, well done!
 16.
lovely bass, id love this as a passive to go with my active fender pj, pity my bank wouldnt! again, lovely bass bump
Thanks for the kind words BassManKev. This bass sounds stonking through a big amp. If it wasn't for the GAS then I'd keep her. Seems to be a common illness round here! Cheers, Jon.
 17.
Hi John, how much did it cost to have the PUPs fitted?
PM'd
 18. +1 for Beyer/K&M.
 19.
So am I right in thinking that this is the situation... I currently have a Sennheiser freeport wireless, which as far as I know operates in the free band, so I just use it freely at the moment. The frequencies it transmits at will be sold off in 2012, meaning I have to shell out to use it? But for the next 4 years, I am alright to carry on without consequence? Cheers
As Crez said, depends on your equipment's operating range. Let me know the frequency operating range of your gear and we can discuss it if you like... Jon.
 20.
Just an update on the 2012 situation..... just so you know, the frequencies are not going to be 'switched off' as it were over night.... the deal is that they will be sold off in 2012 but probably will not be going into action until a year or so later... and this is also area dependant
Just to clarify - The Digital Switch Over has already started. Whitehaven has switched over already, as you may know, and there is a schedule for the rest of the country to follow. It all finishes with the Channel Islands switching over in 2013. See This Website for some more specific info. Also the auction and sale of other radio spectrum takes place soon and the winners will be gearing up and switching on in 2012 as well.
 21.
Hey Jon, cool spec! The flaming on that neck is gorgeous. Are you going for stack knobs like in your mockup? What will the controls be? Cheers, Eude
Hi Eude, Thanks for the comp's. Yes, stack knobs are going on. They are going to be vol/tone for each pickup. I'm a sucker for flame maple and Jon didn't dissapoint with that piece did he. Regards, Jon.
 22. Hello All, Once again I'm another one keeping quiet until the first pictures came through! It all started when I got a quote from Fender for a one off Masterbuilt jazz bass...and promptly needed a lay down at the cost Through this forum I got educated about all things Shuker so contacted Jon for a comparable quote. He won! This is my proper old school cut out and paste collage of how it will roughly look: I'm going for a P bass spec neck on the jazz body, All black hardware (Badass 3, Hipshot HB1 tuners), Transparent white swamp ash body (no aging or relicing, that was the only picture I could find!), Flame maple neck, SD Classic stack p'ups. So this morning I got these first pictures: Rock and indeed Roll. What do you think? Will keep this up to date as and when there's some news, Cheers, Jon.
 23.
Snowing!!! Just off to a gig actually...
Break a leg! It's been grey but mild today here in London. Where you gigging tonight?
 24. Welcome to the forum and cool pictures. How's it in NYC today?
 25. Hi Tech, Can you please put some pic's up anyway... You might just induce some un-expected GAS from someone around here!! Cheers, Jon
