I had this problem in acoustic setting once. Playing in a trad folk session with a cajon player. A lot of my notes on the DB were exactly the same frequency as his drum and I just couldn't hear my bass. Not much you can do in that setting but follow what's been said above. Also remember that every room you play in will be different acoustically so be prepared to change settings each time you play.
I like the way you just allow the middle bit to build to a crescendo at a good slow pace. The final section is just something I can immerse myself in. love that.

This link you have posted is just a discussion about the origins of the SGC Nanyo and not people posting their
pride and joy.

Interesting, because I posted my pride and joy on that thread.
I think that program was actually quite important for music in this country. It lets the masses know that there is more available than just the manufactured stuff that Cowel and Co. produce. There is live music out there in your local area. We all know that as we are or have been involved in providing it but outside of forums like this people only see/hear what is presented on tele or radio or youtube.
One of the most fun programs on the tele for ages. I did like Bombscare. But everyone just seemed to have so much fun. Good to see bands connecting with the audience and not playing with their eyes closed. Well done everyone.

Here's my new main squeeze

Och, now you're just showing off. That is amazingly beautiful.
22 months to build a bass guitar!!!
Are they growing the trees to build the things with?
How come Status and Overwater can build and deliver them in 10 to 12 weeks nevermind months?
Maybe these guys need a Dawn Green to kick them up the back side.
You said it. If you can boost a frequency it must be there for a reason. I don't think there are any shoulds or shouldn'ts when it comes to tone. You do what you want, if you like it go with it. I know of a bass player who boosts the bass and treble on his bass to maximum. Not what I would choose but he likes it even though it goes against all the "rules". Other players and sound engineers seem to like it too so I think that throws the rule book out the window.
You said you want to experiment, then experiment. We can all give you our own ideas but they might not suit you. Move them around and see where you get the best tone for you. Try each of the pedals on its own as well. See how the tone compares to your clean tone.

Just wondered how people battle the dreaded GAS.
For some reason the missus says it's fine!

What are you complaining about? The force is with you.
Welcome. Can't believe no one has used bass clef as a name so far.
Follow board mod Michael 'wateroftyne' playing with the Caffreys. He's famuss. He's been on the tele.

There was a recent thread that mentioned XTC and It came to my mind that Dave Gregory plays in another band these days. Couldn't remember the name of said band at the time. Fete has a knack of jumping in just when you need it. Up came a post on my Google+ feed and of course...
So just for the hell of it...
