1. When did you last change the battery?
2. He is brainwashing us to believe this is a new thing. This could be applied to the 60s, 70s, 80s and,...well I lost interest after that. Holland Dozier and Holland, Chin and Chapman, Stock Aitkin and Waterman anyone. None of this is new. It's been happening since the beginning of pop music. Listen to Brian Mathews' Sounds of the Sixties and you will hear everything he has described in the video.
3. I had an Ibanez GWB35 for a while. I love Gary Willis' playing but I like to tune my fivers with a high C. It just did not suit it and I found I didn't get on with only one pickup. It is a shame cause it was a lovely bass. Swapped it for an ESP fiver and that gave me exactly what I wanted.

Sold

Very fine looking bass at a very fine price. Good luck with the sale.
5. Gode! That takes me back. Real spirit of 1977. Back then I was a big Genesis and Pink Floyd fan so I loved to hate this stuff. Now I'm a couple of years older it's actually quite good.
6. Pete has just received my ESP bass that he approached me to buy. Was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Prompt and regular communications with no fuss even when I spelt my name wrong in my email address. Thanks for the deal Pete and enjoy the bass.
7.
I've tried to give up I just don't have the strength
Who told you you don't have the strength? We all have that strength in us. It sometimes takes finding the right person or motivation to bring out that strength but it is there in all of us.
8. I recently saw an add on another site headed "For sale custom S*****" The add then read "The bass is in Bucharest, Romania, I don t know how much to ask for... so hit me with any offers" That was it The thread just ended saying the bass was stolen and on it's way back to it's owner. Oh dear.
9. Wow! Big time. Glad it's longer. I just like to immerse myself in this kind of stuff. Any idea when the program will be shown?
10. It certainly has a great live feel to it. I don't know if you have access to high and low pass filters in your recording system. It might be worth your while playing around with them to separate the guitars a bit. Keep that live feel though. You can really hear the room. Good stuff for a first effort.
11. Quite load enough on my iPad. Just wish it was a bit longer. On the other hand, does it need to be. Incidental music is only going to be used in shorts snippets. Make sure you post the video when it's done.
12. They are 9v pre amps but have the output of an 18v. Monstrous sound. I liked them so much I have J and U-Retros and an ACG EQ-01. All brilliant and easy to use. And yes, John is very easy to deal with, apart from being a genius at pre amp design.
13. I like that. Nice laid back feel to it. Plenty of variation too which always keeps the listener interested.
14.
Very nice indeed! You kind of lose yourself in it and almost forget it's on only to catch yourself listening to it later on. But then that's sort of the point of ambient music, right? Two thumbs up, while definitely keep an eye out for the next one.
Thanks, as Cameron said, music to wash dishes by. The next one is turning out to be quite abstract. Leaning more to pure ambient.
great sounds! Please feel free to ignore me, but... When it builds up to the point of distortion, the distortion isn't very nice. It might be worth putting a nicer dirt pedal or amp sim at the end of the chain, or if you wanted it clean then a limiter. I would love to have a go on your pedal board inside a feedback loop!
The distortion is part of the lofi delay type. It wasn't meant to be that way. It was meant to be on the tape delay which brought the sound from the ditto back in a kind of wash. Somehow I nudged the switch. Ho hum, as Brian Eno has said, celebrate your mistakes. That's what you learn from.
Very nice! I like the effects on the bass lead that sound like singing, only think i'd say is you could pick closer to the neck on the melody stuff, make it sound a bit mellow but thats my personal preference.
Thanks. I picked it where I did as I wanted that punch to the tone when the tune started. Maybe an idea for the future though.
15. As I understand it you can't really compare these two. The Zoom is a multi-FX which allows you to use quite a number of effects at the same time. The M5 only allows you to use one effect at a time.
16. Great playing and don't forget MK played a Fender Jazz for a while.
17. If it's time to give up, it's time to give up. In 2013 I realised I was feeling the same way. Chucked in the session I'd played at for 17 years and jazz band I was in for 13. Wasn't a popular move but what's the point in being in something you aren't enjoying any more. You won't be able to give any energy to it. Two and a bit years on from that I'm enjoying my music more than I have for years. Other interests have come back too with a new energy. My point is give yourself some time to 'wander' and just see where life takes you. What wants to come back will and you'll enjoy it even more. Oh, and don't sell your gear.
18. On reverb nation you can select whether or not to receive emails from them in 'email preferences' on your account page. Disable it and the annoying emails stop immediately.
19. 18 million users most of whom will be using for free. Average salary of the employees of € 79,000. Hmm, wonder what has gone wrong?
20. Some more explanations here which expand on what he said above. http://music.stackexchange.com/questions/1900/position-of-white-dots-in-guitar-fretboard
21. I would hazard a guess that these points are where you can pick the harmonics. That is the equal subdivisions of the string. 12th halves the string, 5th quarters the string, etc. I know you can pick harmonics in other places like the fourth fret and just past the third.
22. Seems like he got the better deal with you. There you are, you don't even need to close your eyes. The images are there and the music fits perfectly. Good job. Nice one for the CV.
23. I like that. Nice intro to a theatre show.
