Thanks ambient, good coming from a fellow ambient fan. I would,love to do more but it just depends on my fingers landing on the right places on the neck. I sent this to an elderly friend of mine. She tells me she wants it played at her funeral. You can imagine the emotions now attached to it. Gulp!

This is my first attempt at something with a bit of ambient to it. I'd appreciate a bit of feedback on it, constructive of course. Is it worth it? Should I pursue it? I like the way it has turned out but as always beauty is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder. This recording lark is also an ongoing learning process and there is a lot to be said for a bit of compression. I take it you mean EHX360? RC-1 has 12 minutes of recording with no memory. EHX360 has max six minutes recording with 11 memory slots. RC-1 is stereo, EHX mono. For what you want might be best to go for the Boss.

What are you actually looking for? You have thrown out some very good basses there. What is it about ESPs you don't like. You certainly won't get a chunky Fender style neck with them. They are very good basses for the price though. Why not consider a passive and use an outboard preamp?

The circuit has volume, blend and active treble cut/boost. The battery is for the circuit not the pickups. The circuit is more than likely the board 100. Details in the link below on the Status site. Oh my! That is very pretty. I don't usually go for heads on Status basses but that one looks lovely with the gold tuners. Any idea when the bass was built?

I use Labella 760fl on my Overwater fretless and they are the best fretless strings I have ever used. Much more clarity than TI Jazz flats to my ear. More akin to a half wound string. Lighter tension than a traditional stair rod flat.
