2.
Any advice or tips?
Photographs when it arrives!
3.
Pudding after pudding even if you don't eat your meat!
And if you eat the same pudding every day you'll soon get bored of it.
4. This idea of keeping notes so you know in advance that when strings will die can only lead to one thing, boredom. How will you ever know what dull strings sound like again if you never hear them as dull. Life has its ups and downs. It is part of what makes life so interesting. When you have a bad gig/practice with bad strings you then have the new strings to look forward to. Perfection is not perfect. Just concentrate on the playing.
5. Cort and ESP basses are some of the best value instruments out there. Probably because they make them in such vast quantities.
6.
I've noticed many set neck basses have tone blocks. Is this just a decorative contrast, or is there some deeper, more sinister reason? I know you'll know.......
Proverbial can of worms! Wood doesn't affect the tone Oh yes it does. Oh no it doesn't Oh yes it does Oh no......
7. Stunning! Clearly your choice of the neck through was spot on. Looks fantastic.
8. And here's how to do it with tints. http://youtu.be/q01dQ_I7h3A
9. Ivan Brackenbury usually hits that spot just right. http://youtu.be/36a-jueRUBg
10. Just bought some straplocks from Alain. Absolute bargain and a real pleasure to deal with. Thanks a lot Alain.
11.
He also has very good taste in bases.
Just about the best, even with an FPPR.
12.
Not our drummer, carpet or stage but you get the idea.
...and I thought guitarists were bad.
13. Well if you want to go down the custom route. ACG Travel bass. or ACG Moth.
14.
Muse are not so good these days but this guy is amazing!
I would agree with that. Anything after Blackholes and Revelations hasn't really done it for me. All the old stuff they played last night still had that magic.
15. What a powerhouse he is with Muse and what a phenomenal bass line he plays on Hysteria. That is all.
16. I use that exact rig. Works very well indeed. Huge sound. 2 1x12" cabs would certainly be more portable though.
17. Most inflated prices are attached to 'rare' basses. This is "extremely rare" so presumably must be worth every penny.

ACG NBD x 2

Nice pur chases ead. How many ACGs is that now?
19. You'll get a good bass from Chris. Great attention to detail. Won't let you have it until he's entirely happy with it.
20. Another happy purchaser from Rob here. Bought a Status strap from him. Arrived when he said it would. Packed really well and in great condition as described. Purchase with confidence.
21. Another Martin Lee masterpiece.
22. I use the iOdock II which gives you all the access you need, midi, audio, usb. Slide your iPad into it and plug in with the 30 pin connector. Comes with a lightning connector too. Works well with any midi keyboard. http://www.alesis.com/io-dock-ii
23. But of course there are those who say the wood has no influence on the tone of a guitar. But then again there are those of us who actually play the instrument who know it makes all the difference. [steps back slowly in the hope no-one read that]
