1. That's a Zon Sonus unless I am very mistaken.

3. It's like everything to do with playing, practice. Keep trying and you'll get there. I find it works best for me if I hold the very edge of the ebow against my fingers and set it on the neighbouring string. Then rotate it in to the string you want to trigger. Do it gently until you get that tone. This what takes practice.
4.
...to be fair, it's a pretty terrible record.
At best that is a subjective comment. It's a country mile better than Abacab was. (Another subjective comment)
5. I never understand the need for trus rod covers. They are just fiddly little things that get in the way when you need to make adjustments.
6. If anyone finds that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow perhaps you could share it out amongst the rest of us. That would cure everyones gas. Wouldn't it?
7. Pure dead brullyint, an'at!
8. That's lucky.
9. Just checked pay pal conditions and unfortunately for you custom made items are not covered. https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-safety-and-security
10. Did you buy directly from the builder or through ebay?
11. So my point is (regarding this thread)?
12. I think this looks horible and I think it sounds horible. Lots of people don't. http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/series/classic/50s-precision-bass-maple-fingerboard-2-color-sunburst-gold-anodized-aluminum-pickguard/
13. Been around for some time now but has some good stuff on it. In the early days it was almost dominated by Brian Bromberg's music just because he had so many albums on the system. Now more artists are on it there is much more to listen to.
14. Scott Devine uses flats on his jazz most of the time. Hang around a bit and I'm sure wateroftyne of these parts will be along with his views. He's a great fan of flats.
15. I might mock it after 37 years but it got me started on the bass and that has been a passion ever since.
16. Can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would pay £30 for one of these. I started on something very similar only labeled as "Raver". Anything but. Cost all of £26 in 1977. I think I prefer my Status basses.
17. As Bloodaxe says. It might also benefit from having a setup to adjust the bow of the neck. I've twweked trus rods before and that removed problems like that. Best take it to a luthier and have them look at it.
18. Hasn't that turned out nicely. Lucky guy.
19. You'll get twice the power from your bass with the J-retro. Even with a 9v power supply it has a monstrous sound. Really depends how fond of active circuits you are. I'm biased of course as I have one in my Tokai jazz. I like having the control over the mid frequency as well as cut and boost.
20. Great for gospel though.
21. It was the bass on Animals that made make start playing the instrument. Guess I owe him a nod of gratitude.
22. No. No good. Just brilliant. Love mine. Just the tone I like. And a real backsaver too.
23. Sometimes a song just sounds best when it is stripped down to the very basics. This is one of them.
24. I remember you describing one of your other projects as "comedy joinery". More of the same high quality comedy joinery here. Propper job.
