1. Just back from a visit to Overwater and look what was waiting for me.
2. I have used flats on my Status S2 fretless and that has a lovely warm full bodied tone. Having said that it has rounds on it at the moment. Flats on a wooden board I am not so keen on.
3. Paul just bought my lovely NS CR4M. Prompt payment and excellent communications. He was also very patient in working round my mistake with delivery and some niggley problems with the delivery company. Pleasure dealing with you Paul and enjoy the bass.
4. I'm sure if you take it to a good quality luthier he/she should be able to sort something out, certainly going by the pics on the Bass Gear site.
5. You could try Status Hot Wires halfwounds. They give some of the brightness if rounds but feel like a flat and don't mark the board.
6. That would make a great serial number.
7. Osteopath on call.
8. I would agree with JTUK regarding the Trace Elliot. I have a Commando 10 and it is fine for practice but not for gigging. I once used it for a gig with trad folk musicians and it didn't cut through that.
9.
Click on my soundcloud channel link at the bottom of my signature. I put together 3 quick sound clips of the Überhorn. I have done quite a few recordings with it lately and hopefully those releases will be out soon. I will upload samples of those songs to my soundcloud as soon as I can. The bass sounds awesome in the studio despite not really being designed for that purpose.
Thanks shizznit. Just a hint of stingray but with it's own definite style. Wonder what MOXYBASS' instrument sounds like. I know. Never happy.
10. "Minimal fretware" 'scuse me being pedantic.
11. All the onboard sounds demoed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UWt8hctCzI
12. Oh go, you know you want to.

16. Ah, bit of a dilemma. Exactly what I'm looking for and I was only on the phone to Chris May arranging to go over there about a build an hour ago. I'll have to think about this. Hope it stays around long enough.
17. Oh! Never give up bass. If you are going to the osteopath why not take your bass with you. He/she might be able to look at your playing style and advise you from there. How high/low do you have your bass? How do you pick it? Just a couple of things to look at.
18. But it is also worth contributing a little dosh to help the site continue, whether or not you are selling. This lot doesn't come for nothing.
19. If I had cases for them all they would be in them. As it is the best ones are in cases and four hang on the wall.
20. Sounds like you need to have a look at your mids. The neck pickup is collecting a tone that has far fewer mids than the bridge pickup will produce. Try boosting them on the amp first. If that doesn't work try any EQ pedal with mid controls, maybe with a sweepable mid frequency. You could look at the nifty little EWS BMC (bass mid control). Very simple tiny pedal with sweepable mid frequency and boost/cut control.
