1. First one I came across. EDIT: beat me to it.
2. I don't have any experience with the Audere but I have a J-Retro in my Jazz. Really flexible tone control and a monstrous sound from a 9v circuit.
3. Don't worry about 2 or 4 pole. As long as the two poles you wire to on the four pole speakon correspond to the two on the two pole then there won't be a problem. You'll know if you haven't wired to the right poles as the cable will not transmit any signal. I hope that makes sense.
4. Jason just bought my lovely Yamaha BB1100s. Payment came through quickly with no problem and his communications were great. Great to deal with. Recommended. Enjoy the bass and thanks again Jason.
5. Good job. That's better than the demo videos.
6. I think they do this to those of us who are under a certain threshold as a seller. It's nothing to do with your feedback level, just the amount of stuff you have sold, if I remember correctly. Edit: ambient beat me to it.
7. That's an impressive job you've done there Rich. Be interesting to hear what it sounds like. I know, none of us are ever happy. Looks great.
8. Judging by some of your previous posts, Bilbo, you like to get things right. That's fine but remember perfection is not perfect.
9. If you go to http://www.statii.com/forum/news.php and click on "Catalogues &more" you'll find some information further down that page. There's a review of the bass there.
10. I do wish you hadn't posted this. I've just bought an iPad too. I've always been a prog fan. I've always loved Genesis. Guess you know what that means?
11. All Status basses are as good as that and, compared to the price of some other custom instruments, very good value for money.
12. Very much the right choice. IMHO of course.
13. Another attempt to post video bump http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5EzDMjZbHY
14. Ah come on you lot! Can't you see his air bass leaning against the amp. It's so clear and transparent.
15. Thank you RB but I'd like to know why the video I posted keeps disappearing?
16. For sale only is my Yamaha BB1100s from 1985, made in Japan. P/J pickups. A lovely bass to play. Three band active EQ with switch to passive. Very good condition but for one ding which is shown in pics. Little buckle rash I can't show in photos but hasn't broken the finish. Alder body with maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Nut is 43mm wide. 19mm string spacing. My bathroom scales weight the bass at 4kg/8lb. Frets have a little wear which is to be expected on a bass of this age. Can't say it affects playing. Watch the video and make your own mind up. Controls: Volume, passive tone, Treble, mid, bass, Active/passive switch, Pickup switch Price includes shipping to UK addresses but I do not have a case for it. I have looked into the cost of shipping outside UK and that would cost nearly half the price I am selling for so not really worth it. If you wan't to pick it up from Berwick upon Tweed we can arrange a suitable reduction in price.
17.
Haakon Graf, Per Mathisen & Erik Smith
That is a wonderful bass tone there.
18.
aren't bass players supposed to keep time?
Yes. They keep it in the pocket.
19.
Maybe the wood on the neck is still a little green? Or, maybe the neck is actually bowed (take the strings off, loosen the truss rod - is it still bowed?). There's a guy on Youtube who fixed a neck like that by setting a block at either end of the neck, and placing the neck on the blocks (fretboard side down) and clamping the middle of the neck down towards the bench with quite a bit of force. Maybe that's something to consider?
Please read my opening post.
That's a pain indeed. If it's any consolation, Deirdre Barlow's neck is even more unstable.
No, sorry, she's not headless.
20.
OK, I've done a white/black/white one. Really nicely fitting too. Any better ? I like the fit, but I think I like the UNion Jack better. I think a properly fitting Union Jack one may be in my future.
Nah, too bland. We're a picky lot aren't we. Union Jack for sure.
How about a pickguard in something like a cream/pale yellow to match the binding and the maple fingerboard?
That would make it a bit Flea Bassish, IMHO.
21. No, it's a padel.
22. I'm just about to buy a new Cort Action DLX fiver for half your quoted price. Worth every bit of twice the price. Really impressed with the quality and sound.
23. And there was me worrying about buying another bass. Glad to see these lovely Music Men are still there. Fine collection.
24. I couldn't have any lighter strings than those that are on it, 95-25, E-C. Maybe that's why it has been a bit more stable in the last few weeks.
