2. Even Sigmund Freud knew all about this all those years ago. You - Your mate - Your wife
3. Ah, that looks better with bigger pics over here. I can see the graphite weave.
4. These basses are really good! I tried a 4 string fretless recently and was very impressed with it.
5.
How am I going to get through waiting until the end of May or beginning of June?
Answer - All you need is a paint roller, some emulsion, a wall and a seat. Take the roller and apply the paint to the wall. Then sit on the seat and watch the paint dry. Simple. 6. This video must go down as the most posted video on any forum there is. Still entertaining though. This one's even better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y47rtQLO2cw
7. Anyone who keeps the bass line to Stratus going without a mistake gets my vote. Don't care if they are good looking or not.
8. I agree with this but I would sound so much better and enjoy my playing even more if I bought just one more bass.
9. I think her success might also have something to do with her ability at playing the bass. I might be wrong though.
10.
I bought an ESP LTD Vintage 204 recently. On arrival I noticed the nut was poorly cut...
And that reminds me. Lord Sausage on here bought the B-205 fretless recently and that had a poorly cut nut slot on the B string. It doesn't take much to replace a nut though. I would expect to have any new mass produced bass setup by a luthier anyway when I buy it.
11. I can only say that I tried an ESP LTD B204 fretless last weekend and I was very impressed with it. Neck is very comfortable, body is the same shape as the two you are looking at and the sound was spot on. I'll be buying one of these at the end of the month for the same reason as you want yours.
12. Do a search for 'images of musicman stingray hh' on Google and you'll find out.
13.
There is some info regarding pickup positions that I stumbled across on the web, its such a fascinating subject to research. Jas
I've seen some stuff on the net about pickup placement and various discussions. Be interesting to hear how you feel about your placement.
14. Beautiful bass and the best position for the back pickup. Bet that sounds good soloed.
15.
Obviously all the four bangers are going to tell you the four feels right because that's how many strings a bass has blah blah
...and blah, blah, blah. Actually, somewhere on his Youtube channel Scott Devine details how he gets the tones below low E using an octave pedal. None of his basses go below low E naturally.
16.
Just reminded me that I was going to discuss whether Rob was intending to put the new electronics package in a pedal with him at LBGS...sh1t!!
You'll get the same type of EQ system in the Empress Para EQ
17. The face of that bass is up there with Miss Myrtle. The two best looking basses.......in the world!
18. Just sold my Platinum Pro EQ to Jimmy. Cash in hand and no problems whatsoever. Recommended.
19. Just work at the two finger picking slowly on a regular basis and it will come eventually. Your hand muscles are having to get used to working in a way they haven't done before. Don't rush it. Think back to when you started playing bass and how your left hand felt trying to fret notes.
20. There's the British equivalent Allparts UK
21. I don't know about the worst but having just had a great practice with the band there are far more positives to concentrate on. If you feel stuck in a rut try playing a different type of music. I was there in the mid 90s. No rock music was influencing me so I got involved in a folky session and I've never looked back since then. Jazz got me back to the bass again 12 years ago and that gave me lots to learn. That has kept things fresh.
22. John Patitucci gives an explanation of how he works EQ in this clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNQclaAmyX8
23. I went to the first one and the noise at that was enough. My internal organs just survived as well. Those who have been there will understand that.
24. Baddly made or baddly set up. I read a post elsewhere recently that talked about a good setup making a cheap bass play like a million dollar bass.
