It is indeed a P neck ...(without tuners!)
I actually like slimmer necks, that's why I consider getting a p-body seperately.
I checked the serial number on ebay and I guess it is 2000. The new affinity series has alder body but I don't about the older ones. Anybody knows?
So nobody knows what were they using as body wood back in 2000?

Thanks again Mark. You explained it perfectly and it is clearer now. That mistake on wiring diagram was increasing my confusion
-
Thanks a lot Mark. That's one of the things I was looking for and its bookmarked already In this sense, coils (in one humbacker pickup) are wired each other in both series and parallel style, and hence the switch allows you to choose between (series/parallel). Did I understand correctly? I know that the diagram from Warwick website is for two pickups (for double buck basses) but still confused. I assume that each humbucker pickup has its own 3 way switch. But when you look at carefully it shows that the neck switch has something to do with bridge pickup. p.s. I put a little red arrow so it is easily spotable. G

Hi Everybody, I am trying to find out how MM style and 3 way switches works exactly. I have very limited knowledge as I only know that it allows you to switch from single coil to humbucker (series/parallel). I check the wiring diagram on the warwick website but I am even more confuse know here is the diagram I found: How comes here the switch for neck pickup has to do something with the bridge pickup? It says that the bridge pickup is at serial mode (C+D) when the neck pickup switch is at the lower position Is the wiring diagram just wrong or I am not clever enough to understand? Can you also please explain what are the differences between series and parallel modes? How does it work theoratically? Thanks to you all in advance. G

This seems a very good price (with hardcase and extra pickguard(s)) if any of the BCers in the market for one of these. I don't have any good knowledge about Geddy Lee basses but the knobs seem to be changed, however the seller didn't mention it. Is it suspicious? http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/fender-jazz-bass/93195192#gallery-item-full-3

How to keep/store a bass which won't be used for long
GCYPbass replied to GCYPbass's topic in General Discussion
I've got a storage bay for looking after basses if you want me to put it in there. It'll get regularly cleaned & checked over for just a small monthly fee.
I opened the thread as general discussion, not specifically for myself but I will keep in mind that there is a storage bay -
Hi BCers, As many people have more than one basses or they go abroad for work etc for a long time, I thought it would be helpful for everybody to discuss about this. BCers who have knowledge about this issue should explain us the right way of keeping the basses we don't use. neck and body separated? strings on/off? truss-rod loosen? etc. Give us some info please.
