  1. Talk to us, plenty of old farts here to sympathise with you
  2. Bit worrying that your tech can't figure this out.
  3. You would have thought Gibson would insert wholly sensible course of action. Should be their motto.
  4. I've honestly never thought about it, and I'm not going to start - bass GAS is bad enough without throwing amp GAS and cab GAS onto the bonfire!
  5. Don't mod the bass, mod yourself... It's a wristband, pulled up to where the forearm meets the edge of the bass body.
  6. Well, that's the Epiphone Grabber (not G-3) released and available for... £929. I'll have whatever Epiphone are smoking, that seems like good s#it!
  7. With Thomann, this will be the whole story, financially anyway. Relax!
  8. Its intended usefulness is a speck in the rear view mirror...
  9. I'm starting to get the feeling that this thread has long since exceeded its usefulness.
  10. Fan are we nae weighin' in?
  11. Unless you f around with the trim pot on the preamp...
  12. So... end of July, huh? Well, it took until September but now that my Sire Z7 is finally here (and I remembered about this conversation), I can confirm that the Lekato WS-70 does work with this active bass at least.
  13. They've just released new instruments with the Harley Benton name, I think it's safe enough.
  14. The "them" in this context means "all short scale semi hollow basses" as in "there are plenty of short scale, semi hollow basses already", not "there are plenty of short scale semi hollow basses like this one". I did start the answer to your question with "No", but I realise that what I wrote after that may have been ambiguous, so apologies for that.
  15. No, and there's plenty of them already. It's great to see another long scale semi hollow out there, they are very much in the minority, at least that's how I see it.
  16. I think the point I've been trying to make all along is that we don't have to/shouldn't be d!cks about it.
  17. Would a solid cover help?
  18. No, not always, just sometimes. "I'll spell her name how I like" / "Her name is so ridiculous it's not worth bothering."
  19. Took them long enough. Didn't take any of my feedback on board though (ha, as if what I say is important!)
  20. There's nothing faux about getting bored of a surly buzzkill who thinks it's "polite and considered" to continually misspell someone's name, then double down on it when called upon it because they consider her name to be "ridiculous". Contemptible behaviour, I'm glad I called them on it and I'll do it again if the need arises.
  21. *sigh* The surname is redacted. He is (was, dunno, haven't had anything to do with him since school) Harry Craig <insert surname>. Very funny, you got me there
  22. Not unless someone modded it. The stock bridge just happens to have saddles which aren't black.
  23. I went to school with a guy called Harry Craig, but he used Craig as his preferred first name. Wow, that was interesting!
  24. How convenient. Dish it out, but can't take it back. A classic. I don't see what I said as abusive either, you are being a surly curmudgeon in this thread - surely the weight of replies disagreeing with your stance should tell you that. Do yourself (and the rest of us) a favour - go and have a think.
