1.
The new neck doesn't look as though it has got a deep orange stain as the usual SX necks - or is it the light? Hamster
No, your correct. Its not the deep orange of the other models. Its a pale maple with a clear varnish. Inlays are real too, not painted.

 4. At 3 and he is already showing a natural feel for the instrument. Once he has learnt his theory/scales etc, he will be away. He must be strong little chap to be able to play like that at 3. Nice
 5. Nice Paul, well done. Grain looks lovely.
 6.
Would a J-retro or similar pre-amp fit into the Jazz d'you reckon? Might be a fun to hot-rod one....
You will need to route the cavity a little deeper so I understand to take the retro. Some US owners have stuck in Auderes and retros and state they had to do some woodwork on the cavity.
 7.
The headstock looks remarkably similar to the SX. I wonder if they're from the same factory?
Spot on, they are. SX used to offer models the same as the old Bass Collection guitars, the ones with the very slim headstock. If they are the same source as the SX basses, then the SX are cheaper by some stretch, even after import tax/VAT.
 8.
A bit uncalled for mate. Anyways, hope it goes really well!
I think HJ was enquiring how the gig went when he said "And?", rather than showing signs of apathy and disinterest.
 9.
Do you gig your SXs? Do they stand up to the rigours of gigging ok?
Yes, 100%. My 2 are gigged regularly and are a dream to play. Paul......Wizards are great. But the stock PUPS were/are OK, bit too strong for my liking. SX rules!!!!
 10. Good old boy Paul....looks nice mate. A black Jazz with rosewood board is next on my list.

There's just so many DVDs I'd hate to buy the wrong one
Here
 21. Just bought and watched this DVD and all I can say is....wow!! Apart from the surprise of seeing Nathan on bass duties (with a lovely sounding Aguiler rig behind him!), this is musicality at its best. Im first and foremost a rock music lover with a leaning towards a rather well known legendary British rock band, but I do also have a love for Italy (I got married there), particularly Tuscany and Italian music. To see a unique singer like AB with an exemplary backing band, orchestra and stunning Tuscan landscape as a backdrop was unbelievable. Not everyones cup of espresso Im sure, but I thought it was superb. Nathans playing was, as ever, faultless and further demonstrated his ability to fit with all styles of music. Kudos to NE.
 22. A nice "strat" fender logo on a sh*te Squire bass. Novel!!
 23. Me and NWR backstage at last years Guitar Show NWR and the TE rig he was lent on the day.....nice!
