4 ohm only in the TVX range.
Quality. Peavey make some great speakers at prices that make most boutique gear look silly and their latest stuff doesn't even suffer from the weight problem. I strongly recommend stacking the cabs vertically whether using one or both. Alex
|Cheers Alex, will try that suggestion.

Ive just got rid of my old Behringer 4 x 10 which I was running off my Ashdown Superfly. Ive just got a pair of 4 ohm 2x10 Peavey TVX cabs. (£145 each!!!). Bloody hell, I thought the old cab sounded good!!! Obviously, with the two 4 ohm cabs Im getting the full available "monty" out of the Ashy, but the sound is a different world!!. Im not comparing to Accus, Epis or the like but for good punchy rock, they sound the nuts. They are small and not too heavy and of course, if I do a smaller gig, I can use 1 cab on its end.....at last, a portable rig!!! The Peavey stuff is very well made and for the bucks, cant fault them. Some pics......

cheers for the heads up Russ.

The tube (gun, actually) is on its way out. Not economically repairable, but would make a nice fishtank?
so can you ask him to try and get you a certain type/ colour of bass?
Yes, Im sure John will specifically seek out the bass you want. May take a bit of time but hes always seeking stock from Japan. Email him at johnblackman AT ntlworld.com The advantage is he deals with all the import/duty side of things, saves you doing it. GL mate.

Your power amp may have one of the inputs marked as "mono". Just feed the O/P from the pod to this input, select "mono" on the power amp and each channel will take this mono signal. (What OBBM said in essence!!) Alternatively, just use one side of your power amp, keep the other idle for a spare incase of shutdowns etc. May work. Neil
thanks for that link! how could it be posted to Merseyside for less money? and i will keep an eye out on that site but i am seriously considering that bass, the maple fretboard is just so sexy!
Er...simple. The red fender P bass has gone for £480 odd on Ebay.. IMHO thats over the top. Johns bass at fareast.co uk is £415. He could post that to you for much less than £480. The maple board on that P is lovely. I got my aerodyne from John and he is a top bloke.

Stunning, both of them. Simple classics like this never go out of fashion. Particulary love the Jazz. Whats your view on the Villex PUs?

Before i go to london (or wherever) Play it and buy it, has anyone had one? Played one? Whats it like? Cheers in advance. Darby
I have the 140 and its for sale...complete with hard case (Ibanez). Pic below along with my other stuff, although the amp and cab are now sold too! £190 plus £15 pp. PM me if interested. Im in Essex.

At the very most, the cabinet COULD be a TE, but the baffle board, driver and tweeter are not. The actual amp panel is not a TE either. So, that leaves the rubber feet. Mmmmm....somehow I doubt it. If it was a TE, the seller would have put up more info, like model number, year and some close ups. However, Airfix used to make amps.............obviously still do!!!

I think powersoft do a range of 1u lightweight p/amps. Second mortgage time tho!! http://www.beyerdynamic.co.uk/distributorp.../powersoft.html

not with you PM, what do you mean "quotes about lifting heavy cabs"? I can give you some "quotes" when I lift a heavy cab......... but they are not for repeating here!!!!!
