  1. Welcome aboard. And yes your local guitar shop is most correct about Basschat being the font of all bass knowledge. Was that guitarguitar by any chance? I happen to work in Epsom.

    Cheers

  2. If they make them in 4 ohm then you can wire them in series. If they are just 8 ohm only then wire them in parallel for a 4 ohm total impedance. You wont be able to use an extension cab after that. I doubt extra bracing will be required.
I'm sure the experts will be able to advise here.

  3. I'm selling my Yamaha BB1024 purely because I'm not gigging so much now, and doubt I will be for the forseeable future, so I don't really need a collection of gear around me - reminding me of days gone by ;)

This one isn't getting the use it deserves.

Bought from GAK in 2013 this bass is beautiful to look at, with a stunning gloss lacquer finish over very nicely grained wood on the body. It's completely unmarked and comes with a Hiscox hard case which is also in very good condition.

Not really a lot more to say about these instruments really. It sings with a rich tone when needed, thumps like a P when needed, and will burp like a Jazz when needed.

    Our bathroom scales indicate 4kg.

I'm looking for £475 for the bass and Hiscox hardcase. I'm based near Brighton.

Some pictures (excuse the spotlight reflections & shadows, my photographic studio is being used as storage while we are rebuilding our house ;):

Which has the highest excursion/driver displacement? That's what limits low frequency output.
It's a bit of a trick question, since none of the listed examples tell you what their driver excursion limit/displacement is. :(

Do any manufacturers state those specifications?

  true, we do a kit run and you pick up what needs to go out and in.
These guys all belong to the same club and have secret meetings, I'm sure.
Top of the agenda, lets get as many BF threads as we can.
If there aren't enough threads here , there are more in the For sale forum..

True dat. And don't forget the Wanted forum too...

  6. A fab condition Boss ME50B multi effect pedal, with new power supply.
Also runs on 6 AA batteries should you so wish.
    I'm down south near Brighton.
    Cheers

  7. Well ive used mine both ways, and it works equally well either way. I had a wide Ashdown Klystron head that looked silly perched atop an upright Compact, but was perfect when the cab was on its side. Soundwise there was absolutely no difference.
For a while I had 2 compacts. Both on their side with the Ashdown on top was a fabulous sight and a thunderous sound.
Ive just sold my Compact though ;)
    Ahem.
