1. Revolting.
 2.
At those prices, how could I re-fuse?
We really must stop plugging these products.
 3.
However; if one's spent £5,500 on a kettle lead then only the best fuse is good enough!
That reminds me of my daughter's skipping rope
 4.
Oh..... time to go 'ohm.
Boom-tish....
 5.
I might - if my resistance was low.
You watt?
 6.
£300 plus P&P...a bargain!
Good grief. There's no way I could afford to blow that amount of money on those current prices Mind you, are they any good for metal?
 7.
You dont see 10A in places like that either, which is why I mentioned itt.
Thankfully Russ Andrews make a 10 amp 'Superfuse'. That's a relief.
 8.
A spot of Bostick and a couple of neodymium magnets should do the job, I'd say..? A few pence on t'bay...
Good idea. Just be careful as neo magnets operate at such a low frequency they can interfere with the tonal response of the amp, especially if you are playing a 5 string
 9. I have a few Trace heads. And as lovely as an SMX is, these Series 6 units are a bit of a pinnacle in the Trace lineup. This is a cracking bit of kit at a sensible price.
 10.
And so is Michael Fish!! Is it time to post the Russ Andrews link again? Always good for a laugh - http://www.russandrews.com/default.asp
Oh no not the Russ Andrews link! I'm off to listen to my Naim, DIN plugs and all....
 11.
Well, my Harley Benton has undergone some transformation...
Now that is brilliant. Unexpected, different but brilliant.
 12. If this were a hifi forum, we would have been discussing the relative tonal merits of different kettle cables by now. Those 5amp ones are a bit of a one trick pony, if you ask me....
 13. Not only that but also, Seasick Steve lives on a boat. And his brother Carsick Kev is an industry myth: He's really called Travelsick Trev.
 14. My BB414 has a Gotoh 201 bridge which does the job nicely.
 15. Probably Downtown, but more in the style of the Killer Barbies than Petula Clark. A real sing along tune..
 16.
Sorts stiff knobs aswell.
Oooh Matron...
 17. Justin Fletcher who plays Mr Tumble on children's tv is the long lost younger brother of Mark King. They had a falling out in 1935 when Mark was heard to say 'oi Justin, put my 'king bass down'. Justin soon after changed his surname to Fletcher by deed pole.
 18. Id say it is an Ashdown MAG 600 with a different name, especially for Thomann. I rate the MAG highly, had one for few years, was reliable, better tone than the ABM imo and certainly loud enough through Barefaced cabs. It never missed a beat. Cheers Geoff
 19. Hey Spongebob, nicely done sir 😊
 20.
Great advice. Thanks! I feel silly for not asking this sooner, but I've just received my bass terror and noticing the speaker outputs are a different type to what I've used before. What sort of type are these and where can I get some? Also are there any where one half of the cable is the type for the bass amp and the other is a standard jack so I can plug into a cab that's only a jack if needed (The rehersal places only have cabs that have 1/4 jack slots and not this bizarre alien type.
Those wonderful things are called Speakon connectors. Yes you can get speakon to jack cables, google should help out there. Cheers Geoff
 21.
Sadly no longer pinned. The thread is still there if you search for it, but it was de-pinned some time ago.
That's a shame. It is a brilliant resource for this amp, I used it when I had mine.
 22. But is it any good for Metal?
 23.
Good idea Alex - do you have any suggestions as to where one could purchase such a cab?
Oooh you little rascal. I see what you did there....
 24.
I'm interest to hear more feedback from their amps.
Just turn it up to 11 then Sorry! Geoff
 25. An alternative might be the Vintage VJ Jaco fretless. I had one for a while and it was very good. It's reliced,by the way. Cheers Geoff
