1. Rasta has my old ones, and have to agree with his words. These are very good cabs - and this is a bargain price.
2. Ben and I made our regular pilgrimage to Tunbridge Wells, this time for me to hand over my BB424X. As ever a great guy to deal with. Never fear dealing with Cosmo Cheers Ben - see you in another couple years or so lol Geoff
3. Bump time....
4. What do you want different that your TRB doesn't give you?
5. And the next question - is post an option?
6. Hi where are you located? Cheers Geoff
7.
Nice design and great tone. I think the demo is brilliant....no faffing about.
Yep absolutely spot on. And the sound quality through my headphones is very good too.
8. Excellent thread and result. Stuff like this is priceless in the Repairs section, nice one. That amp should now probably go on longer than you do Cheers Geoff
9. Best setup is my current one - old Trace heads (200 & 250 watters) through my BF Compact. Does exactly what I want tonally, easy to transport, and more than loud enough for this pub gigging weekend warrior. A recent fling with a S12 didn't really float my boat for some reason, the Compact just does 'it' for me. Cheers Geoff EDIT: I've just realised my fave head (AH200) will be celebrating its Silver anniversary this year. Blimey.
10. I'm not in the market for these, but just had to say I love the bass & gear colour scheme going on in those pictures. GLWTS Geoff
11. Hi folks SOLD & GONE TO A NEW HOME I'm on the hunt for a Metallic Orange BB414, so my immaculate BB424x in Vintage White is available if anyone has a 414 and they'd like to do a deal. I might also be tempted by a Wine Red BB414 Currently I'd really only like to do an in-person trade. I'm way down south, but happy to start up the tractor and trundle somewhere to meet up if necessary (within reason, of course lol). Also For Sale if a trade doesn't appear I have some pics from the previous owner, and the instrument remains in the same beautiful condition. Cheers Geoff
12. Ok, so I clicked on the link - only to be presented with a list of names. Are they the lesbians I have to vote for? I'm undecided between any of them, to be honest....
13. We had to use my Midget as a monitor once, it was an emergency situation. However, I wouldn't recommend it for putting vocals out front as it lacks the important information where the tweeter should be. I'd guess it's the same with a Compact. Go full-range if you can.
14. Cheers for that Mr Ashdown. My old UK made MAG600 (which I still miss) was an incredibly good and loud amp, so this Rootmaster must be extreme in the volume stakes. Will I see it in London in 4 weeks?
15. Yeah looks and sounds good. Pretty much a MAG pre, slightly revamped and mated up to a class D output. Sounds like they've improved the compressor too. Was that seat huge? Or was Little Britain's Dennis Waterman playing? Cheers Geoff
16. Make it Basschat.orgy and I might be interested
17.

Excellent
18. I am very settled with heavy-ish Trace heads and lightweight BF cabs. My sound and easily moved. It's a happy relationship.
19.
I think you can get Basschat.co.uk in Germany too.
But only while we are still in the EU.
20.
How about this. http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2333560 Worth every penny if you ask me.
Now that is one to go for - Aria quality and looks at that price? Jump on it.
21. When I saw the thread title I was ready to jump in with 'Vintage all the way', as I have quite a soft spot for them. Having now had a look at the Harley Benton, it looks a fabulous deal for the money. Must be the same Wilko Pickups as the Vintage Jazzer. Assuming the tuners and bridge are are not made of cheese, it could be a winner. I believe Thomann's return procedure is pretty slick if you decide otherwise after having tried it out. However, don't discount some of the lovely S/H ones which appear on here from time to time. Cheers Geoff
22. Blimey, watching that was a nice start to the weekend. I need to rethink the way I play that song. Actually I just need to do it properly, just like NWR does. A great post, thank you. Cheers Geoff
23.
Well there you go then! 2x12 for small gigs, Big one for medium gigs and the great built in DI for Big gigs.
Yep totally with you there - and the more efficient those speakers are, the better. And a belated welcome to a US based bassist
24. Glad that worked out young man. General rehearsal and gig reports are now expected. Looks a great setup.
