1. Well, Sleigh serviced, Elves paid and the Reindeers are now burgers, type bump.
2. Most DI outs, even post-eq, will be pre-master so you should be able to adjust stage volume without affecting the DI feed to the FOH. One exception would be the LB30 which takes its DI from a tap off the output transformer.
3. With two options, there are two schools of thought. Some prefer giving the soundman a pre-eq signal so he can do what he(or she) needs for the venue to get a good sound out front. On the other hand, the PA is just an extension of my sound, so they get post everything, and they can feel free to adjust their level to suit. Everyone's Mileage Does Vary Though
4.
My english isn't so good...
Dein Englisch ist viel besser als mein Deutsch.
5. Nice clear upskirt shot there Interestingly there is an unused valve location on the PCB, between the two EL84s.
6. Re the re-biasing, this and the LB30 use cathode biasing which means they do not require any re-biasing when you change valves. You can almost consider this method like auto-sensing and it lets you plug-and-play different EL84 output valves without fear. EDIT: dan670844 beat me to it on the cathode biasing bit - I must learn to type faster lol
7. That's a pain indeed. If it's any consolation, Deirdre Barlow's neck is even more unstable.
8. If you definitely want the SUB then use the Vintage as a trade, but keep the Yammy. Anything else just isn't cricket.
9. Stroopy bought my Little Bastard. Smooth and easy transaction, no probs. Good buyer.
10. Happy New Year! I have the following Behringer pedals for sale. All are hardly used in mint unmarked condition and work perfectly. SOLD: [s]CS100 Compression Sustainer (Boss CS-3 clone)[/s] SOLD: [s]BLE100 Bass Limiter Enhancer (Boss LMB-3 clone)[/s] SOLD: [s]BOD400 Bass Overdrive (Boss ODB-3 clone)[/s] All gone Cheers Geoff
11. Well, fingers crossed that mrtcat's band is entertaining the punters as I type.
12.
Don't be an annoying twit
I'm pleased to see the level of humour is back up to scratch again on this thread....
13.
Mate of mine inspected the Norwegian tree destined for Trafalgar Square off the ship. Has to be checked as free of any diseases/bugs on the import quarantine list. As usual, it was. Splendid tradition is the sending of that tree.
This mate of yours - is he a tree inspector by trade? Or was he just branching out? Ahem - I'm sorry to needle you like this.
14. Definitely. The Terror Bass 500 was the only one to have any serious clout to it, although I doubt I was really pushing it to it's limits.
15. Happiness and Karma is restored to the Good Ship Basschat. Also, Norwegian Spruces are the best. I never have anything else.
16.
This is always my issue with some class D and other amps. They can sound great at lowish volume... but then become a bit of a fight when you push them.
+1. This is exactly what I have found with the ones I have used.
17.
...one particular member decided being alpha male meant repressing or undermining any views that didn't agree with his own.
That's nothing. I had a hell of a time on mumsnet....
18. Interesting thread. Our guitarist was always used to being in two-guitar bands (I also played in one of them), and when we started our current venture with him as the sole guitarist he reckoned it would really push him to improve and help his confidence. It did exactly that. Also, I've often thought our keys guy never really brought much to the table: having had to practise without him once or twice I eat my words. And now he is picking up some of the lead vocal duties with things like Parklife, which he has made his own and the punters love it. Cheers Geoff
19.
Well, it is the internet and people get braver when not face to face........... but yes, not one of the finest hours on here.
Indeed, I'd have to give you a big +1 on that one. Most disappointing, it was. (I sound a bit like Yoda there lol).
