1. Isn't Basschat a great place sometimes? Merry Christmas everyone!
 2. I'm letting my black BB414 go. This is the instrument that got me into the BB-Thing (sounds like BB King In great unmarked condition, and has a lovely Gotoh 201 bridge fitted. Just been playing it and noticed a very light scratch to the rear of the neck around the ninth fret. Not often I'm up that far lol. Cheers Geoff And now the pictures (not the best quality I'm afraid, but the only place I could find with decent light, and which has more than a square foot of clear floor space at the moment):
 3. The TRBX range does look stunning. I notice they have added a 174 to the range now.
 4.
Sell out gig at the Wharf in Tavistock. Supported by fellow Tavy band Orangutan Wheelbarrow. Huge success, will hopefully put some pics and videos in Gig section!
Excellent, good to hear. Nothing quite like a huge success, is there? I'm envious because I was hoping our last gig of 2013 would have been similar. But it wasn't.
 5. So how is the EB now? All working hunky dory?
 6. Our last gig of 2013 was on Friday night. We were all looking forward to it, but it turned out to be just ok. Guitarist having wife problems put a dampener on things from the outset, and not a huge turnout as was expected. People up dancing though, which is always nice. Had a couple of beers post-gig lock-in for band and bar staff, which was nice. This the first time for 4 years we've not booked Christmas and New Year gigs, which is such a relief. I can switch off and enjoy it with my family. Oh well, onwards and upwards in 2014. Cheers Geoff
 7.
Depends which pick you use...
Whatever.... ;-)
 8.
Everyone can express an opinion. Being rude is an optional extra.
Oh absolutely agree there. Hence my comment
 9. Let's not be so harsh - his brief review certainly supports his assertions. IMO, of course.
 10.
Arguably, that's NOT their finest moment ...
All together now: 'Oh yes it is!'
 11.
Have whatever one you want
Ta. Sig updated accordingly....
 12. When I saw the thread title I thought it was about people using the word 'Whatever' in a dismissive manner lol. Can I have a club number please?
 13. I go for cones that do me good. Not fussed about size. Currently I am in a long-term relationship with 12's and a 15. I had an experimental fling with 10's recently, which was a lot of fun. I just hope the 12's and 15 don't find out about it.
 14.
I'd normally pick it up by the middle first :-)
Exactly the sort of humour that causes giggle outbursts in the workplace lol. Excellent.
 15.
I need to post pictures of my dinner and Facebook won't load, is it just me or is anyone else having problems?
Well for starters, I hardly ever use it. But then I guess that's my just dessert. Coat got.... PS FB does appear to be working for me
 16.
Maybe you should get a Barefaced cab...
How very dare you ;-)
 17.
+1. Wattage is no indication of 'volume' or 'power' - it's about which cabs you're using and how sensitive they are.
Indeed. I've all but given up trying to explain this in layman's terms to my guitarist & keyboardist. Should've seen their faces when I told them I'd bought a 30w valve head lol.
 18. I have a matched set of four JJ EL84 valves for sale. These were bought from Karltone (karltone.co.uk) and have seen about 20 hours light use in an Ashdown LB30. Fully working and boxed. SOLD Cheers Geoff
 19.
This. So I got a Super 15.
Good man :-)
 20.
Can you imagine a musical version of Jedward?
That thought has put me right off my tea.
 21. Brother of the famous 'Clive', and their lesser known sister 'Press'? So sorry
 22.
If you can bear to use eaby. http://www.ebay.co.u...rs&_sacat=23789
They are the ones I bought, 2U size. Arrived pretty much the next day I think, and appear to be good quality. I just need to drill the necessary holes in the correct places on the long side, to bolt to the side of the amp chassis. Something for the weekend, no doubt Cheers Geoff
