I take you mean Little Feat? Unless there's another similarly named band I'm not au fait with. And yeah, a brilliant band in terms of ability and creativity.

Impressive stuff. A BB414 I think. I'm half way there then...
Anyone know the exact nut width on thru 1024 & 2024...? Im enjoying my 424 but am finding the neck a bit narrow
I've just measured my 1024 and it is exactly 40mm. I'd assumed the 424 and 1024 would be the same.
The hot DI was an issue for the early Terror 500, I understand that these issues were resolved a couple of years ago and should not affect the Terror 1000 as it is more recent
Thanks for this. I had an inkling this was the case, so appreciate your input.
Hi Geoff, Yes it comes with the padded cover and handle, and the original 240v lead and speakon cable. I'd be interested in a Gallien Krueger 1001rb or possibly gk cabs, or maybe a us musicman sub 5. I hope this helps! Ill check the date tonight
Ah ok that's cool. Unfortunately I only have a Compact to offer, nothing from GK I'm afraid.

To the op: dunno if you are still looking, but there is a bb414 currently in the BC classifieds.

+1 to that. Even though I mentioned the TC combo, I do have 7 and 12 band TE heads, and find them very versatile tonally - moreso than the Ashdowns. I'd have a look at the doc linked above, and see what it brings you.

The TC BG250 combo seems to get some good comments. A friend of mine has one and uses it very successfully for rehearsal and gigs - plenty loud enough he reckons. And it weighs in at something like 16kg. TC have just released an updated range of BG combos, so the original BG250 I'm referring to may be on discount. Best thing is to try some before you buy, if you can. Only you know what you need. Cheers Geoff
Well, I just realised the amp would hang over the side of my Berg by nearly 3" each side. Visual fail, so it's a no from me
I had this before with one of my previous amps. Wouldn't it be nice to have a good all valver with a typical 19" or so width?

I spent the best part of yesterday playing with my new toy. Mrs Geoff politely reminded me that I had plenty of other things to be getting on with, but they have been rescheduled for today. Until yesterday I had never seen a S12 in the flesh, and it's size to me a little by surprise - it's less bulky than I thought it was going to be. Same width and depth as my Compact, but only 5 inches taller. Build, fit & finish every bit as good as my Compact. I'm not convinced about the handle placement though. Brian mentioned this when we met, and I have to agree with him. Still getting used to having a cab with wheels, although I'm sure a bumpy pub car park will get the better of them. Soundwise, I've not heard or played through such an expressive cab before. It brings a new level of clarity and nuance above my Compact - to the extent that I can now clearly hear the difference that the Bright switch makes on my LB30 (I'm still convinced the Mid-shift switch isn't connected up though lol). It seems so much more responsive to tonal and playing variations. That's about it for now. The biggest test will be a gig. Cheers Geoff

Looks rather nice, doesn't it? How are you finding that 5 way EQ selector switch - does it have noticeably different presets that are usuable? Cheers Geoff

SOLD Ashdown Little Bastard 2*12 SOLD

That's a great setup you have there. I had the TB500 for a while and yes I guess it could be regarded as more 'rock' oriented - but that's not to say that is it's only forte. I'd use your current gear with your new music styles first and see if it really doesn't do what you need, and that should give you an idea of what you do want/need. Take it from there. Cheers Geoff

Hey Brian, I think you have two feedback threads - I'm using this one because it's the latest. I just picked up Brian's BF S12 at our secret rendezvous location lol. Well, Tesco's carpark actually. What a great guy - we chatted about stuff in general, compared cabs and went our separate ways. The only difference being that I had an S12 in the back of the car, which wasn't there before. Hightly recommended BC'er. Cheers, Geoff

No worries. See you there. Geoff

Brian How about I bring my Compact up with me tomorrow, just so you can get an idea/feel for the size and weight? Just a thought. Cheers Geoff

Those Elixir nano web coated things didn't impress me much. I found they dulled quicker than I was used to, and the coating came off in small flecks, leaving what looked like straggly bits of fluff sticking out of the strings - both over the pickups and at the fretty end. At which point they started to feel sticky and so did my fingers.
THe only strings I have been impressed with are the cheap Legacy sets from StringsDirect. For my needs they are as good as any nickel roundwounds, from any maker I have tried. Punchy, consistent, good lifespan. I have them on all my basses. And the price is the most impressive thing !!
Indeed. I've just had some more delivered and are now on all 3 basses.

Chris bought my Vintage Jaco fretless. Great guy, easy to deal with and a quick payer. Cheers Geoff
