Thats the one i got! It turned out i'd done dealings with the seller in the past, so a quick call, suggested a buy-it-now and KERBLAMMO! it's now mine!
Crikey that's a good result. Nice one!
Got one this morning!!
That's excellent news, nice one!
I'm actually planning something like that on the guitar cabs...
Crafty chap lol Does the label on the top of the cardboard box above say 'Super 8'? It's a BF!
-
I love that variable rear port design.
-
That's useful information, thanks for posting. Cheers Geoff

Yeah that's very interesting indeed, and I'm quite surprised by it. Also explains why they never send me anything lol
Buy a Boss GEB-7 graphic, like I did when I had my ABM, and have the best of both worlds.
Yes that's something I've been considering - or the new 12 band graphics pedal from those Ashdown people.
knockers.... ahem Here's a lovely pair of them a pair of knockers.jpg by napes2000, on Flickr
Good man
I just don't like the EQ design. Always plenty of Orange bashers, and it doesn't bother me. Again, great service, British company, a lot of the line made here in GB.
The ABM EQ is something I really like and find easy to use. I'd like to try one of their 12 band graphic designs sometime, I'm guessing it will be similar to the classic TE GP12 design if it's a Clive Button design. Cheers Geoff
[Insert jokes about bottom, fingering, G-string, A-minor, strap-on, standing up, slapping, going deeper, etc. HERE]
You've just stolen my whole plan for the rest of this thread, you scoundrel.
-
Arf! Arf! I just did.
That's because I was just toying with my sub-octave knob...
-
On this thread there are a couple of friendly people who don't prefer Ashdown. Is that a nice pair of Ashdown knockers?
-
A bit of sub will vibrate wombs, making you very popular with a certain section of the audience.
Sorry, come again?
-
Thread title had so much promise... No Ashdown knockers here. Enjoying a new found relationship with my ABM now that I have discovered the sub-octave thingy can actually do somethihg useful if used sparingly.
-
Hi Is it a Mag or ABM series? They both came in evo 2 guise but are quite different. Cheers Geoff
Many years ago I worked with 2 guitarists (not at the same time thankfully) who did some stand up. You couldn't have a conversation because they never switched the jokes off. In the end I couldn't take any more "fun" and quit.
I can imagine. Brings a whole new meaning to the term 'punch line'
Lovely to see this intro thread!! You are one top fella, and thanks to your help yesterday I am now irritating my neighbours with Octave pedals and vicious compression as I work on my Sorrow for my Pink Floyd Tribute band! Will be seeing you In the Flesh (pun intended ) as me and my bassist mate also called Deb will be popping over to Bristol in a few weeks to see your show. Looking forward to it! Thanks again for your help. Debs x
Now this is how Rumours start. Oh sorry, wrong band....
-
I hope this means the mess is cleared up now. On another note, I wonder if Guy, BillyApple and me are the only bassists on here who have done some live stand up? If you think your first gig was sh*t-scary, try stand up comedy
Now then, a funny thing happened to me on the way to this gig.... And there endeth my live stand-up ability.
-
Aww!
I'm quite ok with the make-up though
-
Welcome aboard! Hopefully everyone can kiss and make up.
Err, no tongues though, ok?
-
Excellent to see you here Guy. I was rather disappointed I didn't get to see you play The Boot in Seaford last July: the place is pretty much on my doorstep and I have played there a few times. Let the other thread die the death it deserves, I'm sorry I resurrected the damned thing lol. Cheers Geoff
I'll hand that Medal Of Honour straight back, since I've just sold a combo for £90 that I took in a trade valued at £150 last week. Normal service has been resumed
Phew for a moment there I was worried there had been a rift in the BC Trade Value Continuum which would have sucked in all previously traded gear.
-
I know 90% of you won't agree, but... what a great band they were.
I admire your courage in admitting to this. Is there a self help group? Only kidding. I'm with you on this - in fact I think I may have to visit HMV for this particular gem... Cheers Geoff

I find that nerves really focus me. Similar to work actually - when the pressure is on and I have tight deadlines to meet, I'm at my best. Sing and play? I'm lucky if I can do the latter at times, and and the former is well outside my skill set. Kudos to you (although please remember to play lol). Good luck and finger crossed. Cheers Geoff

We've done auditions for drummers and singers - the latter was a temp thing while our main singer had to recover from some vocal problems she was having. The singer auditions were a clear winner situation - the other two are friends of mine but they were cool about it. Drummers. It feels like we've been through more drummers than Spinal Tap (although without the fatal departures, I must admit). Although one was close Our current drummer is probably the best I've played with. I completely trust him musically, and some of his fills always give me a little smile when we are 'on song'. He also has some great ideas for little changes to the covers we do, stops etc. And a great laugh to boot. I feel for the op, but you know - c'est la vie and all that. Maybe better things are coming your way if this one doesn't pan out. I hope so, anyway. Cheers Geoff
