1. Interesting. Thanks for your thoughts. I dont think I am going to find a streamliner for trade anyway so this thread my be pointless. I will have to save my pennies and try some amps out.
2. Interesting. Can you elaborate? I really want something with a tube pre-amp for a bit of growl. The streamliner sound perfect.

5. Hi, I have been searching around for a set of these and allparts have repro ones: http://www.allparts.uk.com/string-ferrules-for-bass-vintage-reproduction-12-inch-13mm-p-15668.html do you have any pics of yours?
6. How did that sound? A bit like slap and pickle? I'lll get me coat…...
I once played bass with our singers sandwich when he wasn't looking in a rehersal.
7. I use a pick, my fingers, my thumb, whatever I feel is required. Sometime I have even been known to use my head. Not often though.
8. Are you interested in trades?

10. More information would help. Who made them? What wood are they? Fingerboard wood? Dimensions of neck? Pics are essential if you want to sell them. I may be interested but I dont know yet.
11. No worries, gimmie a shout if you do. I am around all weekend and not gigging this week.
12. I am in Wadebridge, Cornwall, and have a compact you can borrow. It is a silver cloth one and I love it.
13. Looks great. He has good skills.
14. Cant wait to get mine. I am also playing in a Funk covers band.
Used it yesterday at rehearsal and simply put, i don't care about all this tweeter discussion, that thing sounds huge and very defined. Enough low end for my needs and it sat perfectly in the mix, giving my bass the extra edge to cut through and that's exactly what i need in this project (funk/soul covers). Loved it!
15. Thanks for the response Alex. I have learnt a few things there.
16. I use a Promethean 1x10 combo as my only bass amp. It is perfect for rehearsals and small gigs. For more volume I use a Barefaced compact 1x15 cab with the combo sat on top. Awesome sound. However, I have ordered a Barefaced Midget T 1x12 cab recently as I think this would compliment the compact cab better and I can control the level of the tweeter with the Midget. This will give me lots of options too. Combo Combo + Midget Combo + compact Amp + Midget Amp + Compact Amp + Midget + Compact I dont think these are available new anymore. You may have to keep an eye out for a used one. The new ones are 1x15 combos with less power.
17. I have a Midget T on order and was not aware of the tweeter position either. This has stirred my curiosity. I have emailed Alex to see if he has time to comment on this thread.
18. 19. I thought it was awesome, but, it was a challenge to listen to. Not very accessible for some I would guess. She is splendid.
20. He gave me 6-8 weeks. Which is fine.
How long did Alex give for a delivery time? (I was very fortunate, he had the Compact in stock and completed the Midget in time for me to pick it all up.)
21. I sold a pedal to Gwilym. Top guy and a pleasure to do business with.
