  1. Click on "Advanced", the sole purpose of which appears to be to allow you to rename the function.
  2. Presumably the "short scale bass" would be one with a 35" scale.
  3. There are 20 people you hate that much?
  4. It also means you don't have to learn any songs as all the notes sound exactly the same.
  5. Basslab doubleneck 5-string headless fretted + fretless. To see what the necks were like - if they were nice, I'd like one with parallel necks and the fretless on top. I'd also like to try a Ritter Roya 5-string.
  6. I did have a look for it on the MOT history webpage but it wasn't there, so it must have been withdrawn at some point.
  7. The mob that attacked the capitol on January 6th last year were waving confederate flags and chanting "USA, USA". I think they must have missed the point of the civil war.
  8. 4KOF got through, but not PEN15 or 80LOX. I've seen TWA77Y too. Because computers can't recognise all the naughty permutations, every six months they print out all the numbers to be issued and people read through them to find the rude ones.
  9. When I put a filter on for five strings, the first three basses shown were 4-strings. And there was a Bacchus headless 5-string. Must resist...
  10. I liked most of it - not so keen on the first verse. But then I also like Coldplay, Nickelback, and U2, and dislike most Prince, so the Basschat thought police will be coming for me.
  11. In Arduinoland, ezButton is pretty handy. https://arduinogetstarted.com/tutorials/arduino-button-library - the button array is good for multiple buttons. Setting the pressed time when isPressed is true and then comparing it when isReleased is true and seeing what the delay was. I did a similar ESP32 page turner using bluetooth - made it to send page up/down, line up/down, or next/prev window with a display to say which it was doing. That was before I encountered ezButton so it debounced by spotting the button press, hanging on briefly, then checking if the button was still pressed. Subsequently I saw another method which I thought was very clever - there's a variant on it at https://www.e-tinkers.com/2021/05/the-simplest-button-debounce-solution/ (go down to "The simplest debounce function").
  12. I'm impressed. I never realised anyone had the patience to do one of those shred videos for 20 minutes.
  13. You can multiplex OLEDs: https://www.instructables.com/Arduino-on-I2c-Multiplexer-Tca9548a-1/ which looks quite simple.
  14. You'd think he'd say which multi-platinum album.
  15. Pricey, they're £899 new from Bass Direct (currently out of stock though).
  16. Synth was a plus for me too, as I can play either a little bit of keys or something with a 12-step (single notes with something like a Taurus or chords on strings or organ). I'm just starting with experimenting with it.
  17. My Seis (an Original and a Flamboyant) both fit into a Thomann E-guitar gigbag - https://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_premium_gigbag_eguitar_br.htm (not at the same time). The only issue is that it has reinforcement where a single strap button would normally be, so the dual strap buttons have worn through. Loads of pocket size for straps, Zoom MS-60B plus wallwart, cables, notes, etc. It depends on what you're protecting the bass from - this stops the rain getting on them and protects against scratches and light impacts, and the bass always goes on top of everything else. There's also a Rockbag for cricket bat basses - https://www.thomann.de/gb/rockbag_rb_20601b_steinberger_bass_bag.htm. I haven't got any experience of that as I just use the original bag with my Hohner.
  18. My experience has been buy cheap, buy once.
  19. Cheap - Lekato 5GHz Mid-range - Smoothhound, Line 6, Boss Expensive - Shure I've got experience of the Lekato, Smoothhound, and Line 6 G50, and they're all good.
  20. That's the ones I've got for home practice and rehearsals, and also used for some gigs. No problems at all.
  21. You can find out from their tutorial videos. https://www.evertune.com/resources/animated_video_tutorials.php The first one tells you what's going on. Basically, wobbly bridge saddles located by balancing string tension with spring tension for each saddle, so the increased tension from plucking a string (which sharpens the pitch slightly in the initial attack) is smoothed out. Clever, but I'm not sure that it's really a problem that needs solving. And they don't do a headless version.
  22. I consider myself to be what you neofascists refer to as "woke", ie. I have some humanity and empathy, and I don't consider raunchy music to be offensive.
