  1. Yes, I think you're right about the poor sync, on taking another look at it.
  2. I'm hoping someone may be able to point out whatever obvious step I've missed in getting the Chocolate to control a couple of Zoom MS pedals (either an MS-60B or an MS-70CDR) via an MS-1. I'm trying to get Program Change A working with them. I have paired the Chocolate with my Android phone and set it to Program Change A, paired the MS-1 with the phone and set it to OTG, connected the MS-1 to the Zoom pedal (this is also the power for the Zoom pedal), switched Bluetooth off on the phone, switched the Chocolate on (flashing blue light) and then the MS-1 (flashing blue light turns solid, as does the light on the Chocolate) so I'm satisfied that they have paired with each other and not the TV or some other random Bluetooth device. I then try pressing switches on the Chocolate and nothing happens. This setup is the same as that shown in one of the other videos by the same guy that did the tutorial about that @Smanth has included, except that I'm not using a separate 9V supply. There's another Youtube video that shows the Chocolate being used with an MS-50G with no 9V supply or batteries, so it should work. One thing I'm not sure about - in Cubesuite, when I tapped on the right-hand button with what appears to be an expression pedal on it, I see [1] 1 CC 0 0~0. If I press + to add another entry, I get [2] 1 CC 0 0~0. I'm not sure if this is simply a CC for the expression pedal (which I'm not using) with the first parameter being the control it applies to and the 0~0 being the range. If so, that's all irrelevant to me as I'm not using the expression pedal. Is there anything obvious (or not obvious) that I may have missed?
  3. I assume she's miming to herself. Of course she's not wrong to post it, but that doesn't mean that people can't be critical of it.
  4. Ah, well spotted about the miming. Haven't changed my mind about the track itself though, just don't like the alternation between vocals and bass.
  5. Some people are easily impressed.
  6. AIUI, mods yes, repairs (replacing like with like) no.
  7. She could only concentrate on the crooning or the bass playing, not both at once.
  8. A headless Bongo 6 might be interesting.
  9. It could be described as a young lady singing and playing bass, but it would be more accurately be described as a young lady singing EXCLUSIVE OR playing bass.
  10. There are many multifx units which allow downshifting - I would assume the Zoom B1 does as the B2, B3, B3n, and B6 all do, as well as the MS-60B. You'd need to see if the sound is OK for you. A bass tuned to a lower pitch (either a 5-string or a BEAD 4-string) might meet your needs but it would depend on whether there's much use of open strings, and if so, whether you'd want to use a capo if the open strings aren't the right ones.
  11. The content of both links appealed to me about equally.
  12. I've tried flats on fretless, and gone back to rounds. Elites stainless 40-125 on all four 5-strings and 40-100 on the 4-string.
  13. Arrival - Journey of the Sorceror, Eagles Reflection - not sure, possibly Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Bach, the guitar version by John Williams Departure - Toccata, Sky It's tempting to get Freebird in there too, as the lyrics can be read that way. Although if I should happen to crash the bike and die that way, "Bat out of Hell" would fit better. My dad had "Bring me sunshine" as his playout song. He died of cancer over a period of a few months so had plenty of time to plan.
  14. I like light and small, so I went from RCF ART710s to Alto TS408s. First gig with them will be in a fortnight.
  15. Well, completely context-free links aren't terribly helpful.
  16. I've got three main gigging basses - Sei Flamboyant 5 headless fretted, Sei Original 5 headless fretless, and an Ibanez EHB1265MS with Aguilar DCB pickups (I don't take them all out to gigs, just one, plus a Hohner B2AV for backup). I've decided that another couple are going to get taken out sometimes too - an Antoniotsai 5-string (used to be my main gigging bass until getting the Seis) and an Esh Poseidon V.
  17. Better looking than those ones with headstocks, and better balanced.
  18. It's about as common as "Squire".
  19. That's all very well, but I think I might be arrested if I turned up for a gig with a headless baby boy.
  20. He should show A Little Respect.
  21. It looks better as a doublecut. That bottom horn does need something doing, at the moment it looks rather as if someone has cut the end off it.
  22. Just make it headless and access the trussrod at the nut end. Some day all basses will be like this.
  23. The horror of the body distracted me from the neck, so I hadn't noticed that it's also a defret of sorts.
  24. https://www.allparts.uk.com/products/concentric-stacked-knob-set Or
  25. Unless the bass actually sounds like that. In which case, the bass is one to avoid.
