Shouldn't the G string run pretty much straight to the tuner rather than turning sharp right at the nut?

I wish people would use metric weights. 1300lb is 590kg.

Looks nicely made, though the shape definitely doesn't do it for me.

I stick to 34"/863mm scale for fretless (I have several), but my fretted basses include a 36"/914mm which I don't have any trouble switching to and from.

I've been to Germany and back to gig three times, all on Easyjet, all using a normal Hiscox bass case. No problems.

Hadn't heard of it before but I'd be willing to try it and to buy it if it seemed OK.

The bass I use for gigging is a Sei Original 5-string headless fretless. For tinkling around at home, it's whatever is to hand, currently an Ibanez SRF705.

I first listened to Yessongs when I was a teenager who played a bit of guitar. I never noticed the bass. I'm not sure that making it the one instrument I didn't notice is my definition of "standout".

If you are the first to arrive and set up your gear, and, of course, the PA, don't expect to still have your bit of stage once the others arrive.

OTOH, CPS barristers (like my brother-in-law) aren't exactly paid a fortune. Still, legal aid has been eroded over the last decade or so, which is quite disgraceful. Has that second point changed since the Birmingham 6? I thought the SGC Nanyo was very good quality, it was more that I couldn't get used to the low weight compared to the Thumb (and its predecessors, a Hayman 40/40 and a 70s Precision).

A shame there's no picture of the instrument in its full horror entirety. It's rather unusual in that the neck is at the opposite end to the handle. Good job it's a 4-string, it means I'm not tempted to offer £45 for it.

I sold a Nanyo Bass Collection bass because it felt so light (I was used to a Warwick Thumb). It was a wonderful bass to play but it just seemed so insubstantial. That was a long time ago, since 2012 my bass of choice has been a very light Sei headless.

I've got the AT Cube 800 - the 500 and 800 are pretty much the same but the 800 allows an extension cab to be added, so I got it just in case. 9.5kg, sounds good. The wooden Cube 800 is 15kg so not a lot more.

I like most prog (not Rush, that voice is like fingernails on a blackboard), glam, and punk. Focus were a superb band. Still, I think we can all agree that Prince is twee and inconsequential.

The national press, and indeed Private Eye, could well be interested in this from the aspect of Facebook's lack of protection against scammers.
