It was the done thing to make hi-fi speakers as heavy as possible as this apparently increased the highness of the fidelity. I remember a DIY hi-fi speaker in the 70s (in Practical Electronics or Wireless World, I think) which had double-skinned walls. After putting together the base, sides, and front/back, and putting the speakers exactly where you wanted them, the walls were then filled with sand and the top put on.

Something I found a few days ago when I rewired a previously passive bass to active with new pickups - the pickup negative and the pickup ground need to be definitely connected together. I'd got the pickup ground going to ground and the pickup negative soldered to the volume pot body but the two weren't connected, so one end of the volume wiper was floating and the volume control had no effect. Connecting the two sorted that out.

Use a reamping box. Coincidentally I've just built one using the instructions in this video - if you've got the tools, it's dead easy.

Oh good, it's not just me that thinks that the Tele headstock is hideous. Mind you, I also think that the Tele body is hideous.

About where it would be if I was sitting. I almost always play sitting anyway, sometimes in classical guitar position (as below) and sometimes with the waist resting on my right leg.

Aluminium neck-through - that's unusual, especially as the neck is bolted to the body. I don't think even Kramer did that. And you can see where Mazeti got the idea for their odd headstock that can be seen in a recent MDP auction. Looks like ridiculously narrow string spacing, although that may be because of the huge body and long thin aluminium neck section running along it.

Remember, it needs you more than you need it.

I think it would need part of the headstock grafting back onto the neck end as the break undercuts the truss rod end.

I think that that's due to the way that WL20s charge, using a stereo jack, which wouldn't necessarily be compatible with the stereo jack socket used to switch active basses on (ISTR reading here that some makes of active bass can be used with the WL20 - it depends on which way round -9V and ground are wired on the ring and sleeve in the bass). If that's the only issue, it can easily be overcome by using a short mono jack plug to mono jack socket lead, plugging the plug into the bass and plugging the WL20 into the socket.

Why not just run the MOD power supply into a splitter, send one side of the splitter to the Dwarf and the other to the Cioks 4?

Zoom B3n - scrape in at just under £200 new, maybe a bit over £100 used. As well as Zoom's own editor, there's Tonelib-Zoom https://tonelib.net/downloads.html which is a simple and effective freeware editor for Windows, Mac, Android, or Linux.

Could I point out that two of the suggested basses have been right handers, despite the OP saying he's a left-hander?

Just chop the headstock off. It would look nicer and balance better.

Good point. He doesn't know where to stop with his nut filing, does he? It's nice to know that there's at least one person even more incompetent at handiwork than me.
