2.
Joe Morello is one of my very top favourite drummers. I've even, unwittingly, adopted his stick-dropping technique..!
That's something that seems to have seamlessly made the transition from jazz to rock.
 3.
Changing drummers is always a pain and you generally have two ways of kicking one out. 1st is to sack them and then audition and 2nd is to audition and then sack them. The 1st way feels really dishonest and the 2nd way is a huge risk.
Vice versa, surely? Audition and sack is the dishonest one, sack and audition is the risky one. PS. There's some bloke dresses up as a zombie that the OP might like to get drumming for him.
 4.
Unlined fretless Sei Flamboyant 5.
So a fretted Flamboyant 6 was quite close.
 5.
Very nice! Don't suppose this will be at next years Moffat bass bash?
Probably, as long as I decide that I can cope with 6 strings. Might even take it to the Copper Pot in Leamington Spa on New Years Eve for Kev to lust at
 6.
In a separate development , Seal has teamed up with Gene Simmonds to cover the well known Brian Hyland song, 'Kissed by a Seal'.
In an ironic (and some may say cynical) move, Gene Simmonds is also pairing up with Axl Rose to cover Seal's song "Kiss from a rose".
 7. I only have one in my signal chain at a time but have quite a few around Zoom B3 Zoom G3 Zoom MS-60B Korg AX3000B Korg AX1500G Two or three Tanglewood tuners (I like these but they're obsolete now) Three or four cheapo tuners so I can stick one in every case One clip-on, good for use with the Variax guitar but an epic fail on the headless Sei
 8.
Factory fretless or defret? http://www.ebay.co.u...3cAAOSw~bFWJldW
With the one bit that's not got close-ups being the fretboard? Looking at the uneven colouring of the fretlines, notably above the 12th fret, I'd say a defret but the fretboard doesn't look like it's suffered in the process.
 9. I had a Frontier fretless bass which had a bridge like that - haven't seen it on anything else before. Perhaps I shouldn't ignore Hohner Arbors.
 10. After my recent redundancy and reemployment, I thought I deserved a bit of retail therapy. So here it is, one pre-loved Sei Flamboyant 6. First impressions are a lovely neck, string spacing a bit wider than I'm used to at 17.5mm. I haven't put it through a proper amp and cab yet, that's yet to come.
 11.
Although I have no great love for 'coffee table' basses, I dislike wanton destruction of this sort.
Exactly. This is the sort of job that Squiers were made for.
 12. Halloween gig in Leamington. Had thirty Draculas (a stag party) singing along to "Sweet Home Alabama" and "I'll be there for you". I nearly drowned in sweat in a werewolf mask (I didn't stay in it for long), Mrs Zero was one of the Wicked Witches, and our guitarist was Ozzie for a night.
 13. Oh, and the general appearance is pretty good. I think you've got a sound basis to work from. I'd be inclined to merge the About page into the Home page and then perhaps have a separate Songs or Repertoire page and another page for the band personnel.
 14. Because of the way that Wix does its websites, the whole site runs inside a frame. That is a problem for search engines. If you're not bothered about people being able to search for you then that's OK. Wix's optimisation for phones doesn't work very well. I suspect something about the way that the background is displayed so there's a very long background image which makes the page seem very long and narrow, although the menuing does change for a phone so it's obviously doing something right.
 15.
Auto play media is never ok as far as I'm concerned. Guaranteed to put me off a website, regardless of its purpose.
Agreed, I'm absolutely against it.
 16. No interpersonal issues in our band now. Three was never direct conflict in the past anyway but the old drummer was getting frustrated with the old guitarist. There would definitely be problems if I had issues with the singer as I'm married to her.
 17. With the advent of tracking apps and GPS on mobile phones, Peter Sarstedt is considering reissuing "Where do you go to my lovely?" with amended lyrics but is concerned that it may leave him open to charges of stalking.
 18.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly... I generally use a .88 on guitar and a 1mm on bass...
I use 1mm for both, it saves me having to think about it.
 19.
All the doctors said if I had another alcoholic drink, it might kill them. I've gotten used to fruit squash and seen that a lot of players that don't drink on gigs. My advice is: Don't worry about not drinking and save your life instead.
Glad to see you back - i was only thinking a day or two ago that I hadn't seen you posting for a while. Please keep that advice in mind - one friend of mine didn't and had his final, fatal heart attack a couple of years ago.
 20. While no doubt it appeals to some, thirty or forty lines of "Interests" text means that half the screen is taken up with that (which there is no option to ignore, unlike signatures) while the text is typically a line or two. Is there any way a limit could be put on the length of the Interests text, or alternatively do away with the wretched thing altogether?
 21. I only use one for a couple of songs on bass and keep it (or two if I feel like it) in the money pocket of my jeans. However, I swap between fingerpicking and plectrum on guitar, and I have one of those spring plectrum holders on the front of my guitar. Black Variax and black plectrum holder so it's not too visually obtrusive.
 22. Any of the demo tracks which I played on for originals bands.
