1. Sadly, there was enough time for Red Red f***ing Whine.
2.
Crikey, now that is ballsy! Where do you keep the other two hidden?
They're consecutive rather than concurrent.
3. How could I forget? Child Star by Tyrannosaurus Rex namechecks Debussy, Mendlessohn, Handel, and Dvorak, while Ballrooms of Mars by T Rex has namechecks for Bob Dylan, Alan Freed, and John Lennon.
4. 4-string - pickup cover. 5-string - pickup cover or B string. Also occasionally (with either) the side of the neck, if for some reason I'm plucking that far from the bridge. I also use a classical guitar technique, playing with thumb and two fingers (I have some sort of mental block on this, playing guitar I use thumb and three fingers) in which case my entire hand position changes.
5.
Nope. I'm one of the lucky ones that has escaped marriage. Living happily with 13 basses.
I have about 15 basses and 13 motorbikes and just the one wife. Admittedly she is number 3, but she's put up with me for 12 years now.

7.
I've never seen a twin neck that I've liked the look of. The headstocks always look like they're just two separate necks bolted onto a body rather than been designed as a pair with some sort of symmetry. Maybe somebody should make a L/R necked twin neck.
Headless would be even better. Oh, look: although I prefer parallel necks (which they do too). And they're composite so they keep the weight below 6kg.
8. The Sei Flamboyant headless 5.
9. Our guitarist uses one which doesn't seem to me to be too intrusive, mainly because it connects to his multieffects and sets up the appropriate patch for each song. Not sure how much he relies on it for the chords, I don't think he does so noticably though. Well, I don't notice him using it.
10.
I wonder if his next door neighbour Liberace helped him out?
Nono, it was Liberache he lived next to, and presumably Liberpain was on the other side.
11.
What? "Creosoting a rhinoceros"? I'd dearly love to know what it puts you in mind of.
Well, there's spanking the monkey and bashing the bishop, so I thought creosoting the rhinoceros might be another one of that ilk. Of course, there's always the chance it will become one, and in the future we'll hear sentences like "That Zander Starr, what a rhinoceros creosoter he was".
12.
Sorry I can't right now as I'm creosoting a rhinoceros...
Is that some new euphemism?
13.
Thanks all, I've been reading over and checking the options. Some extra but relevant info is that his Girl is a singer/key player so it would be cool if he could play along if need be.
Roland Bass Cube for an amp if he'll need to be audible to her. Or a GK MB150 if one turns up dirt cheap. Peavey Grind 5 (cheap) or Hohner B2V or B2AV (more expensive but takes up the least room).
14.
The Hootenanny show should be fine. A lot of quality and talented people have died this year.
It's not unusual for quality and talented people to be in the audience or even interviewed on the Hootenanny show. Now they've got the check for George Michael too.
15. One of the reasons I wanted to be up on a stage playing a guitar.
16. Will the production team have been combing through the recording, checking whether anybody is visible who's died since it was recorded? At the rate they've been dropping off the twig, there's plenty of potential for embarrassment.
17. I have one of the Wilkinson 4+1 bridges, currently fitted to a bass which I literally never use so could easily be tempted to part with it (the bridge and nut and anchor piece that is, might as well keep the bass).
18. Also Sennheiser HD419s, £23 from Maplin. I find them a bit more comfortable than the HD201s.
19. 2000 Miles by The Pretenders. Written for James Honeyman-Scott, who died the year before it was released.
20. You can't afford to lose momentum.
21. I'm pretty sure the Delano Sonar 2 has that - never take mine out of active though.
22. The Who - You Better, You Bet has the line "I drunk myself blind to the sound of old T. Rex".
23. You can try getting the police involved. They'll almost certainly ignore you and tell you it's a civil matter.
24. The Persuaders
25. Years ago, the speaker in my Gallien Krueger 200MB (the little 1x12 combo) fell apart - the cone just parted company with the surround, having hardened and crumbled away.
