I don't think you'll find replacement contacts other than from Line 6. I think they mean well but are utterly incompetent.

I'd never have another Trace Elliott. My class D amp sounds so much better.

You could try looking for the Minolta RM-2S or RM-4S memory cards. I think they'd be compatible, if you can find one.

My B2AV sounds fine. The B2V that I had sounded somewhat thinner.

You can move the strap peg on the B2 so it hangs rather better. I will be doing this to mine when I get a round tuit, which is what I also need to finish soldering the jack socket back on after replacing the preamp (didn't like VV and stacked B/T or the active/passive toggle switch which is easily broken so went for a Tone Monster with push/pull active and vol, blend, stacked B/T).

Spectors. Lovely basses (even though they're not headless) but I just don't get on with the necks.

Fenders (and copies). Singlecuts. Precisions (and copies). Paint finish. Jazzes (and copies). Not keen on headed basses but I do have some.

Active, twin pickup, headless, natural finish, through neck, straplocks. If fretless, unlined. Luminlay side markers or preferably LEDs. Shallow neck profile.

[/quote] It's because it's shown in a proportional font which is useless for tab as characters have different widths, and the widths depend on the font. Put it into Courier or a similar non-proportional font and you'll see the A and D are alternating.

I've had a 4x10 fail on me (fortunately when we were going through a venue's PA) so I'm a bit cautious now - I use 2 1x12s and I think one should cope with the sound levels we play at. Yes, we do play with a PA but it's a pair of SRM450s and I'd rather not put the bass through them. More specifically, they're my SRM450s and I pay if they need fixing. Again, they should cope with the levels we play at but I'd rather not.

Never owned one but played quite a few in Musical Exchanges in Brum. The fives had great necks on them, and the 8-string was pretty good too.

Of course, there's no right answer to this whole conundrum. Do what you wanna do. There's a few as have said they don't like gigging, so band 1 would be their obvious choice. I do like gigging, but there's some appeal to me for each of bands 2, 3, and 4, so I wouldn't exclude any of them without meeting them. Let's face it, I've played "Red Red Whine" for money, so I'm obviously a musical prostitute.
