I do own basses with headstocks. However, every time I buy one, I also buy a headless, to keep the balance of the universe, er, balanced.

It looks to me like there are two candidates for the black wire (the two that @sandy_r has highlighted) and two candidates for the white wire (the two a couple of cm to the right of the first two). That's going by the relative length and positions of the black and white wires.

It's Fender attempting to cash in on the uke bass trend from people who won't have any bass but a Fender in one of the two most boring shapes.

Although by that rationale, the only tuner in the entire equation is the person turning the bit of instrument that needs to be turned to tune the instrument, or "BOITNTBTTTTI" for short. Ah yes, another of my prejudices - tuners/machine heads/BOITNTBTTTTI at the wrong end of the instrument. They should be by or associated into the bridge. I don't like bolt-on necks with big heel blocks (eg FSO). And if there has to be a headstock (occasionally a necessary evil), it should be equipped with compact tuners/machine heads/BOITNTBTTTTI, not those sodding great things that Fender use that necessitate huge headstocks. And for five-strings, 4+1 is not good, 5+0 is definitely right out.

The ones on violin tailpieces are called fine tuners.

As @neepheid says, Tecamp Puma 900. I've refrained from commenting so far as they tend to go for a little above your budget, but well worth it if you can afford it, and plenty of power on tap if you should change cab.

I thought that was what you meant - rolling the finger rather than crosswise as you would with a guitar or fretted bass. I sometimes find myself doing that, force of habit from so many years mostly playing fretted and my only violin experience being 50 years ago.
