1. I had the VS100 with an intact from panel but knackered valve sound into marshal bass 4x12 as my first rig. Loved it.
2. They do seem to have a few issues. I'd get two p110c's and the head next time tbh. The buckle gave out on the bag too, about five seconds earlier it'd have gone half way up a flight of stairs too!!
3.
Oh dear what happened to your MARKBASS cabinets I wonder?
Still not sure I should've sold. We'll soon see!
4. Ugh. Fivers are weird, I used to play sixes (status and ibanez) but just prefer four. The ibanez had to go back, I'll fill you in properly when it's safely back. Save to say it's still awesome and I will get one again. But the sound of this rig is great so far. Three gigs this weekend, an open mic house band slot for the midget, a loud indoor rock venue for the stack and an outdoor festival stage on Sat to compare so we'll soon have more details!
5. Sounds ace, a bit like my b9.1. Might have to look into it some more!
6. Saga? Have a missed a saga? What's a Pearce anyway? Sorry to hear it's died.
7.
So, I've now added my second 6B to my PJB M-300 and goodness what a difference. Apart from the increase in volume, which is less than I thought it would be but still more than ample for any gigs I'm going to play without PA support, the quality and depth of the tone is supreme. I'm just getting more of the same fantastic sound. Cheers all Gareth
I've never thought about these before and now I'm thinking very hard lol! What conventional configuration are those cabs analgous to? The head looks heavy?
8. How about the zoom b2.1 or b2.1ut? Really great bits of kit. Davemuadib uses one for just that. Infact his is programmed with just three sounds all with compressor applied it just goes clean (with some eq)> chorus>drive over and over. I've owned both models and really rate em.
9. Seriously, honestly, All of you, try it just once and see what you reckon! http://www.gorgomyte.com/ Especially impressive on warwicks bell frets.
10. No more racks of stingrays, warwicks and statii no more trace or markbass stacks, no more huge pedal board. This is my gig stuff: And this is the whole shebang! L to R: bassmaster funk, 1990 mij 60s reissue-modded, Barefaced midget T/ compact stack, markbass little Mark 2, zoom B9.1, 2008 cij 75reissue jazz, Harley Benton acoustic bass, (OBBM speaker cables, monster/elixir/zaolla cables and a QED power lead. And just the amp for the curious.. And out of interest. Promethean p110c and a midget T : Full promethean stack and the compact: 'scuse the dodgy late night iPhone pics.
11. Good point that. The strap handle does make my lm2 feel a bit precarious, I sorta hook the front feet over it.
12. First up is a Warwick deluxe bag. I've never really used it and have no idea how i ended up with it! Its Nicely padded and seems to go between £40-£60 new. Some scuffs from storage but pretty much spot on. Still got the sticker on it! £30 delivered A Ritter doublebag. It has loose stitching on the handles which while i thought it alarming at first it seems fine and I'm sure a cobbler or useful Mum could sort it easily. I've been carrying two basses and a LM2 and cables round in it with no worries. It seems safe. £35 delivered Ritter superpak awesome bag this. TONS of storage and with a dustbag (supplied) I've managed to carry two basses in it. The front pocket WILL fit a little mark 2 and there's plenty of pockets left for cables etc. This was £100 new and the only issue with it is loose stitching on the zip which is an easy fix. This really is a tasty bag. £50 delivered.
13. One word: gorgomyte! Thread / ;-)
14. I've bought a midget T but would like to stay on the list to try it with a midget and see if I prefer that over my compact.
15. This thread just lost em a customer. I was after covers for my barefaced and liked the look of these much more than roqsolid but after reading this I just called roqsolid and ordered two covers, and later, when funds allow, I'll order a midget bag too. Just goes to show I guess.
16. Not sure I could get to Bristol just yet. Driving lessons are underway
17. That White body is just exactly what I've wanted for ages now!
18. These are CIJ basses and at £400 is a nuts bargain !!
