1. Thanks for the cross help, I of course still just wanged em on super quick, only one is really off i think, but hey. Heres the result as promised, please excuse the blend of hardware colour, its in the middle of a hardware change over.

  2. When its me alone Ive always used the bassline from 'Goodnight though' by the wonderstuff, one of the first basslines I learned, it grooves, uses a decent range and I like it, I also like the fact that i still use it lol. I also do some high register stuff with harmonics, just to make sure they understand im not just a 'dum dum' bass player, and that i like the whole register of my bass to be heard, then i go through each effect like guitards do, so they also know im using 'em, they never ask!
The whole band normally play the first song in the set and then a verse/chorus of anything extra needed, such as more keys or extra bv's.

  3. On the other hand when switching from pedals to multi FX i have found this weekend onstage, that its best to wear smaller shoes, instead of big boots, for the close together switches so that you dont trigger a massive synth sound instead of the nice dirty flanger spot effect you were after.

  4. Only a passing comment of curiosity but i thought you might like a peek at my old 'bassmaster funk' i think it was made by tanglewood or cort, ive had it since the early '90s and its one ill never part with, kinda spector'y, right down to the concave back and really an amazing bass. It was £350 in a sale back in the day, and ive preffered it to most basses ive owned. Not much to be found out about 'em, only ever come across one other, which was an excited bloke on myspace who messaged me as surprised as i was to hear of another..

    carry on....... :)

  5. Monte Allums modded boss cs-3 compressor, great pedal, i have two so this one can go £45 posted

Boss noise suppressor, really a worthwhile addition to any rig, £45 posted

1980's Boss CE-2 no idea what label colour, its long gone. These go for silly money on ebay, but im not asking silly money as its quite chipped although well maintained and works prefectly. Just an awesome pedal.
    So lets say £60 posted

  6.
Im the bassist for a nuneaton bassed band called Polo Lounge. not been with them long but where doing pretty well, seem to be playing leicester alot.
Wow, you guys sound really like my old band (also from Leicester) called Lipp Lucid, (now ashdowne, and sounding rather different) we should totally hook up and do a gig together, i reckon we'd work quite well, check out my lounge fly link in my sig (or above lol)

  7. Hi, well im in a female fronted pop-rock band called 'lounge fly'. To my ears we sound a bit like paramore, meets garbage meets no doubt ish, but check us out and see what you think!

Our influences are really varied as they are mostly classic rock fans and i like funk and disco lol, but the drummer and singer put most of the stuff together anyway.

We are getting great reviews, although mixed response live (im not sure why, maybe too complex to dance to??) although as a new band we are still finding our feet, should we be more punk, more electro etc etc, its early days!

Please go and take a peek, we have a new video on the way next week too, and are always looking to gig swap etc!

website is hear with links to twitter, facebook, youtube etc http://www.myspace.com/loungeflymusic

    cheers!
    Gaf

  8. Ok, so i bought this for a project, but tbh, since having the little 'un, i just dont get the time, so im passing it on as it came, which is in good nick apart from a worn area on the forearm bout where a sticker was removed and took off the shine (impossible to photograph) and a big chip out the back.

The bass need some work, the truss nut is either stripped or massive, and the neck i think is bent as the action is much higher at the body end than the headstock. Ive been watching a suitable replacement neck on ebay for £57 posted, as i was gonna turn this into a tele deluxe bass! but hey ho, the best laid plans eh!

It all works and i reckon will be great, its very punchy and loud although the strings are all used up and plonky!

anyway id like £50 collected if poss, i will post if i must but it be £70 posted. (neck off, strap not included)

  9. Ok, ive done it again!, my wanting to like P basses and then finding out i dont has led me to this...
Its a 1996 MIK fender 50th anniversary squier Precision, that the previoous owner had converted to a '57 style with a lightly aged( actual play wear i think) anodized scratchplate and pickup covers, it also apparently has had a pickup upgrade but to what im not sure.

I then went and changed the pickguard to tortie, the pots to alpha's with an orange capacitor, did a fret polish and clean up and added gold hardware and self adhesive 'inlays'.

Now the bass is for sale with the original chrome hardware,

im keeping the gold for now,

but i will include the pickup covers and both pickguards, the 'inlays' im happy to leave or remove as preferred, they come off with no ill effects, the tugbar is also included.

The bass has a lovely flamey, quite flat neck and is set up pretty well, although i reckon it would benefit from a nut file. The body has some chips and wear as its been a real player throughhout its life, the fingerboard and neck have started to age really nicely.
As you can see the previous owner has also added a fender decal and laquered over it, although id have used a darker tint myself.

Its a really genuinely lush bass with a great p bass sound and proper, ahem, 'mojo' :) it would make a great gigging bass or project, and looks the 'shizzle'.

Im after £160 posted or swaps for jazz basses or WHY. (two pickups though!)
