Any chance of a pic of the gold bridge?

I beat it!!! used a photo i found online of a p bass' guts rather than a diagram and away we go, need shielding though, as it hums now. grr!

Cheers, ill try to get pics up later, i have no meter, or indeed a clue when it comes to these things, i just took wires off one pot and soldrerd it to the same place on the new pots, then when that didnt work tried virtually every combination possible! im amazed ive stumbled on the right one just by chance!!!??

Bear in mind when it comes to these things i need speaking to like a child! (I dont mind) i know pots and they have tags, that it!

I've followed every diagram online, my father in law has tried too! It does somethnh different everytime!! But NOT the right thng! At the mo it's wired as per the fender diagram and the pots do nothing!??!??
There is a slight boost in volume halfway down the vol pots taper but that's it it sounds like I've wired to the jack but I havnt?!??!! Aaaaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh
it's a '96 squier nothing fancy pleeeeeeeeeease help me before it goes out the window, this thing has a mind of it's own! Two sets of pots tried, the pickup works, so WTF is going on???

I quite like my buffered tone, although anything that sucks too much goes in an LS2 loop. Thats said i recently ditched the board for the ease of a zoom B9.1ut and so far am WELL chuffed!

Id forgotten these things exist, used to lust over these back in the '90s when Pat Badger was playing one. Although the white 'n gold is very much my thing!

these korean squiers seem really good. i have a 1996 mik p bass dunno much about it other than it seems waaaay better than it should be!

I'd love this lot, esp those old bridges, but sadly it's well out my price range, gutted never mind :-)

Yet another secret crush on the sr500 here (apart from the jack socket) sooo not my bag but strangely drawn. Also the squier deluxe jazz V in White, despite hating fivers.

That Jaco pic has a similar effect on me, something about it I can't put my finger on. Had as my desktop on my iPhone for ages.

bit of a boink here

(No not me, the bass!) I was very lucky, when i first started playing the original version of this bass cropped up in a magazine and i cut the pic out and stuck it in the front of my A-level English folder, that was my dream bass. A few weeks later same magazine ran a review of the japanese '62 reissue, which i duly cut out and stuck in the back cover of my A-level English folder, this was more achievable, although not by much at that age, £500 or £5000 both were sky high. A few years later i found a mint one in my local store and had enough to buy it, and its still my number 1 at least 17 years later. Its been butchered a bit, and modded up and down, but i still love that bass which was my first crush, and indeed a more porky and recent me is wearing it in my avatar on the left!
