Ill sneak this in quietly here, and see who spots it before I make a thread about it but wizard now also make a pbass style split humbucker in a jazz sized casing. It's amazing and solo'd in a neck position can make a jazz sound like a big punchy p bass and if you roll back the tone a smidge... Instant 70's funk tone. In the bridge location it adds beef and punch and bite. A great pickup, called the 'Gaffer' might be worth partnering it with something the the wizard trad or even the area 51 stealth for massive snarly badness! -
I found the new thunderbird very disappointing. Poorly finshed with overspray and blemishes, and the pickups had no punch or top at all. Worst of all was the substandard fret job. Some were visibly higher than others causing all sorts of issues. It went straight back!

For gigging I a huge fan of the markbass ones that Velcro to the side of my cabs. Discrete, safe, handy and stable and cheap! -
Slighy ot but lately my 105q has started making a high pitched whine when I press it down. It's on a pedaltrain into the front of a little mark 2. I wonderd if it's cause it's right next to the gator gbus8 psu I'm using on the board. The top of the pedal is butted up against it. Lm2's and 105q's eh!

I really didn't want to sell it, but it was an emergency. :-(. I'd only just finished programing it the day before, never even got to try it at a rehearsal. The situation has eased now so I thought i'd snap this up, gotta start all over again now though! Which is a ball ache as my time for bassing is rather more limited now don't suppose any of the sounds prefixed 'Gaf' are still on my old one? I could really use the settings lol! Esp Gaf clean.

no not just you, ive always done this. i use cheapo web straps with a slidey buckle so i can change really quick with one hand.

Oops, i think this was mine, i also bought it from a forum member for £50 but never got a chance to use it outside the bedroom, and only then at tiny volume just to check it worked before life fell apart and i had to sell it. No hum in my room though?, odd. Of course you can return it if you like boss really sorry about that. :-(

ive a white jonny brooke jazz bass with my name on the headstock in marker pen (comes off with lighter fluid i believe) a gold control plate and a tone control that acts as a master volume?? But its well set up and plays and sounds fine, pretty good infact! £30 collected from cheltenham oh and its white with a maple neck rosewood board.

This will prob still have to go but im gonna hang on till i totally have to Its in great nick, fully shielded with a drop d tuner and badass bridge a small scratch on the front and a paint chip on the bottom edge,(not in pics) it has an added side jack and a pearl guard which is a bit roughly fitted around the neck pickup. Very sad sale, and really collection ONLY from Cheltenham. sensible offers please thanks it's a gen fender from ishibashi not a parts build.

Lots sold, I'm amazed no one has snapper up the wizard custom pickup yet! It's a non production special job to simulate a p bass from a jazz pickup. Amazing amazing sound.
