Thanks I'll tell it you said so! It's on it's third neck, third set of pickups and electronics and 2nd set of tuners the only original part now is the body 3rd neckplate, 2nd bridge it's actually pretty battered but the pics don't show it it carries it's mojo well but it's dinked and dented and scratched with large chunks of paint missing and about five holes in the bottom from straps some with the broken screw shaft still in.
But I've had it since 1992 and it stays with me for good! It was originally a 1990 mij fender '62 reissue.
I've had the bassmaster nearly as long, it needs a new nut at the mo but with fresh strings that thing sounds amazing. It has a piano like tone and the bridge pickup just burps like a good un. That one is also battered but stays! Also you don't see many of them, esp not with a headstock logo like mine.
I wish I hadn't been so exuberant in the days of grunge! I'm much more careful now! -
The synth way dosnt really do straight wah tbh it's more of a filter I find the expression pedal vital as I use it with chorus and reverb for soundscapes etc.

Ah well as it goes they're gonna be out my range anyway but maybe now I'll stand a better chance of picking up a cheap used old style one, I noticed they had come down. -

Hah hah I remember axe guitars in the transparent bags can't believe they were asking that.
I realized that although the gtx was my 1st actual bass, as far as I was concerned my 1st bass was really a kay sg copy only four strings plugged into an old wooden Sony 'portable' music centre with the record head jammed in on the tape player! Which makes me sound much older than I am!
