  1. I really do much but the action is nice so I wouldn't envisage problems mate. The active eq with sweepable kids would help with cut through.
  2. Well ive had this less than a week and actually really love it, but i realised after playing for a short time why i had given up playing sixers after i left Balance of Silence, about the same time i started to get agonising pains in my wrist which was exacerbated by playing the six ( i have tiny, tiny hands) ..and the pain still comes straight back when i play one so thats that idea down the pan! So i bought this like less than a week ago at time of writing from here and now cant really play the darn thing!...GUTTED! Its in excellent nick with some light scratches on the front. Its had mainly studio use apparently and ive cleaned it up, gorgomyted the frets and done a full set up so its has a fast, low action, and sounds meaty as hell! It has a lovely quilt maple top under the glossy deep blue finish and a nice flamed maple section in the centre of the laminate neck (which has resisted all attempts to photograph despite being really very flamey!) Id be interested in trades for fours, probably squiers such as a classic vibe p or j or mexi fenders or interesting things or a sale at £250 but its really gotta be either collection only or courier during half term (week commenceing 16th Feb)
  3. Back for sale but it's really looking like collection only I'm afraid. I may possibly be able to post during half term(week commencing 16th feb)
  4. Godamn it, every single time I do that!? What the hell is wrong with me?
  5. I'm selling a shine sb-26 six string bass in sorta wine red with two humbuckers, active eq and gold hardware in good nick for £85 collected from me in Cheltenham, could prob post for a ton I guess but not till haplf term (week commmencing Feb 16th) Its well set up with no issues apart from needed sone brighter strings imho. Its sounds nice and burpy and is a joy to play, a really impressive bass for the cash to say the least, its really rather fab! heres the pics i bought it from: some i took:
  6. I just put a new pre wired cheapo control plate on a cheap jazz copy after messing up the last one with my awful wiring. And despite it all apparently being wired correctly both pickups work fine but the tone works as a master volume, all I did to the tone was solder the bridge earth to the chassis? I tried swapping the little green doo dah (capacitor?) for the old one but it's still a volume, it's not the end of the world but is it something else I've done, would soldering the pick up wires back to front cause it? Cause mine are different colours to the diagram I've used. They both work fine, no phase problems when both on or anything?? I suck!
  7. no it's buggered, never gonna be able to fix that,it's just gonna take up space, tell you what I'm in Cheltenham even though I don't play fivers I'll do a fellow basschatter a favour and take it off your hands I'll even sling you a pint for it how's that? Btw was the trb the one from Aroundabout?
  8. Owned two, sold two, gutted want em back lol, great basses I still have a graphite necked jazz though.
  9. I love it and can't wait fir the next one every time I finish the last.
  10. I'm another one that'd be replacing Billy Gould.
  11. My first one cut out for short periods from new, proel sent a new one straight away.
  12. Thanks dude, I reeeeeally need to learn to drive
  13. I swear by mine having owned ebs, aphex etc I use the cs3 everytime. Albeit with a noise suppressor as part of my rig.
  14. Said it before and I'll say it again lol I bought a sansamp and hated it with a passion you can only begin to imagine! Bought the hartke and use it all the time, love the drive, love the filter doo dah love it, apart from the frickin size of the thing.
  15. nice n easy transaction with no worries at all! good times!
  16. I've bought and sold six string wood necked energy at between £350-£450 but fours are often cheaper than this but that's with the wooden neck. With a graphite neck I'd have this down as about right.
  17. Ditto mate also in cheltenham and I fancy a few lessons to prise me out of a bit of a rut.Btw I'm playing in nam at the frog n fiddle on the 31st if you're about dude.
  18. Why can't it have six strings ...why!!
  19. On jan 31st at the frog and fiddle Cheltenham go on!!!!!!!
  20. aaarrgh, there it is again, stop it!, i love this bass!
  21. Hah hah I remember axe guitars in the transparent bags can't believe they were asking that. I realized that although the gtx was my 1st actual bass, as far as I was concerned my 1st bass was really a kay sg copy only four strings plugged into an old wooden Sony 'portable' music centre with the record head jammed in on the tape player! Which makes me sound much older than I am!
