  1. Used them for years when I had amps, one each side - worked great.
  2. The same thing happened to me there, great sound for the first act, and then endless feedback in the second set, with the guitarist moaning loudly over the mic that he couldn’t hear himself. I was called all sorts of names over the mic. Afterwards I found he’d taken the mic off his amp and pointed it into a corner. When I asked why he said ‘it was in the way’ !!!!!!!! I mean. Really!!?!! Total @&@@@🤪😫😂
  3. For most of the last decade I played a marauder, stupidly sold it to a mate when I was struck down with covid thinking I’d never recover and he wouldn't sell it back to me when I could afford it. Heartbroken and can’t afford another now.
  4. Today while deciding wether to give my fender a run out next week.
  5. JBs that was the place in Dudley (was it?) JBs. I remember now. We did somewhat ‘tiddly’ post gig England Vs Germany football in there with the Brits against the German road crew while all the Americans looked on confused. - The only time in my life I’ve ever done a football thing. 😆
  6. It’s not much, but as a youngster starting out in the 90s, playing the now long-gone Princess Charlotte in Leicester seemed like an unattainable dream. I was ultimately lucky enough to play there dozens if not hundreds of times, on bills with big bands and to eventually sell the place out many times with my own band, I even ran the sound there a few times. That’s the only place I can was ever say was somewhere specific I really Wanted to play. Beyond that, I’ve been lucky, Hammersmith Apollo was an iconic stage to play on, Manchester Apollo (best dressing room) and Liverpool apollo too. The SECC in Glasgow was fun, (small dressing room) And the symphony hall in Birmingham (biiig dressing room Rock city I always enjoyed playing, on any stage, and the cavern (blew up three bass amps in one night there!- oops.) Camden underworld felt similar to the Charlotte for me which I liked, and Bradford Rio’s. Limelight (Crewe?) and what’s the place that was in Dudley, that was ace? - Nice cuppa and curry on arrival there. Recently I’ve been pleased to play Cheltenham town hall, ladies college and pump rooms, which are all now local to me venues that playing at makes me feel like a proper local lol. But above all, god, what I wouldn't give to spend one more sweaty night dodging feedback on stage at the Princess Charlotte back in my home town. Lovely memories.
  7. I’ve always derided them as just dull and generic, I’ve always liked offsets and played a marauder for ten years live. But then I was gifted a strat, so I was stuck with it. and it’s only blimmin marvellous! Dull as ditchwater to look at, but plays wonderfully and sounds great (humbucker in the bridge though;)
  8. Just the really cool zoom synth sound that I couldn’t get out the helix.
  9. Latest version - I have no amp now, just IEMs and sometimes I use Headrush 112s. My helix does pretty much everything, but its synths and filters just can’t do what I need, so the zoom ms60b plus and DigiTech cover those, switched via the helix’s twin fx loops. The Mel9 is in front of the helix but switched via the blue foot switch. This layout keeps my cables well away from dancing feet, and avoids any cable strain, I’m very pleased. Power comes from the power bar built into the pedalboard. (Harley Benton 60xl with power).
  10. In my ‘big gig’ days, we broke even on tours thanks to the merch, it really did make all the difference, albeit due to some agreement with the record company who funded it if I recall correctly.
  11. I found the box still available
  12. Yeah, I use three headrush Frfr 112s for everything. They do Pa and monitor for solo acoustic gigs, one or two act as fold back for me at festivals if I don’t want to trust the house guy with my iems mix. (99% of gigs are on iems with a cover band with our own sound guy) they also do guitar duty for the odd rock gig when I’m on guitar. They really are all I need. Wish I could afford QSCs like our foh rig, but I can’t
  13. Long gone, but I went full JPS on my old Geddy.
  14. It’s a ground box, used to prevent any buzz, in this instance I’m just using it to move the input location as I use a custom cable that takes my signal and IEM feed, which is ace, but can pose challenges in terms of cable routing. This way works perfectly.
  15. I’ve had quite the change around, hence my sudden flurry of for sale ads! I’ve joined the helix gang and am very pleased so far. My favourite thing about this set up is that all my jacks can be inboard of the board edge, away from drunk feet
  16. Everything works, all latches and zips etc, Collection only I’m afraid. £100 the lot, but Open to offers/trades. Not that I need much tbh
  17. Look what I found ! So now it has the box price hasn’t changed.
  18. Cracking little boost pedal with eq. I kept as an always on cause it has special sauce! Not sure what. But I like it. no box uk only
  19. The daddy! So much versatility, very quiet, transformed my board And fixed so many little niggles and odd noises once I’d put it in. Comes with box, manual and a pile of cables and adapters. cracking bit of kit!! One small scratch. £100 posted uk only
  20. Guitar (not bass) digital multi effects. No power supply. Works fine. No issues £25 posted uk only. No box.
