1.
* Turn right down and play the fewest number of notes possible * If the arrangement permits, give it at least a verse before you come in so you know which direction the 'performer' is heading * Play seated and try very hard not to be noticed (wear subdued clothing and sit as far back as you can) * Suppress all visible signs of emotion and affect a 'been there, done it' disposition. It will give the 'performer' confidence that you know what you're doing even if you don't. .
This. As house bassist and host at several weekly open mics for the last few years. This. Unless you can avoid playing altogether. Then that.
2. Sold rob my zoom pedal, nice guy and very accommodating. All good
3. Cheers all, I'm off to check my own attic in the hope someone left a semi flamboyant 4 headed up there with burr walnut top and flame maple neck. Because y'never know right!

5. I've always needed my strings a hair off the board, it seems like every bass I pick up has what I consider a huge action, and I just don't get how people play with any fluency on them!? Super low for me

8. Bought an amp from Dennis, lovely bloke, no worries at all.
9. Not me sadly, but a good friend who is getting married so hopefully this will help toward her wedding. She's an awesome person so I'm very pleased for her.
10. Update: she's seen the thread and thanks you all very much for the help :-) I'll keep you posted on developments as I hear them, it was with an old vox cab too.
11. Nope, never repaired, possibly lost when I swapped a module around with another one a long time ago. How odd. I hadn't even noticed till you mentioned it!
12. Sadly he is unwell with age, but he will be involved.
13. Cheers. I've sent a link to this thread. Not heard back yet.
14. Fantastic to deal with. A credit to BC:)
15. My mate found this in her grandads place. Looks like an old Marshall to me, but not really my area of expertise. Any ideas? 16. Sadly I'm selling up my gear. This head is an Italian made, not black series, MoMark 500 with very little use. The amp is in top condition with a valve preamp. The momark amps sound much fatter and more like a traditional amp than the little mark series. (Yes, 'heft'!) Really great sounding, out of all my baby rigs, this has been my favourite, I've owned two. Sold on genz shuttle, little marks, terror bass, Warwick and trace in Lieu of this. This amp is 500w I can post in the uk, but not overseas, no trades thanks.
