1. I do everything, hell my bassist doesn't even have a rig and uses mine, which he doesn't know how to operate. Drives me nuts, but keeps me playing.
2. Mine has a wristband that lives on the headstock for exactly that reason! It just wants to damage me when I play it ! Cos it's 'ard!! 3. I've an AER alpha acoustic combo in excellent condition, it's a bit grubby from sitting around unused but I'll clean it up before sale. It's had virtually no use and is a simply wonderful sounding little box, very powerful with an amazing tone, mic and guitar inputs, great reverb, mic stand mounting hole, great pro kit. I stuck the foam grille cover back on with Velcro as it has become a little loose, no accessories with it. I'd MUCH prefer collection from Cheltenham. But delivery could be an option if sorted and paid for by the buyer. I'm asking £250 Ono. The Alpha's 40 Watts and 8" twin cone speaker system provides a well balanced tone at all sound pressure levels. This AER amp is also subtly dynamically controlled ensuring absolute reliability in full load operation despite its strikingly small size and weight. On the amp's front side you'll find a combo socket signal input for 6.3mm mono jackplug and XLR connectors (48V phantom power) and a signal source selector switch which allows you to choose between line for instruments and other line level sources or mic for microphones. There is a rotary gain control for this input level. The second input section consist of a 6.3 mm mono jackplug and an input sensitivity switch. There's also an LED overload indicator , tone colour filter activation switch and gain control. The rest of the front panel houses the bass, middle and treble level controls, the efx level or reverb control, the power on/off switch and master level control. The rear panel houses the line out which supplies the pre-amp signal taken after tone control, effects and master for forwarding to your other devices. The send output allows the connection of an external effect device and in conjunction with the return input forms a loop designed as external loop. A headphone out enables the connection of stereo headphones when you need to play silently. The triple-band equalizer of the Alpha provides an active and high quality sound interaction tool that supports the natural tone of instruments and voice whilst simultaneously offering the possibility of a controlled accentuation. With all controls in mid position the amp produces a pleasing and natural sound that you can "colour up" using the colour filter. This has the effect of lowering the mids and lifting the trebles producing a more open and light tone especially suited for fingerpicking techniques. 4. I think if I could afford those sorts of prices of choose a Ritter tbh
5. While there's a few MoMark folks in one place, could I ask if anyone has a line on either a graphic EQ module, or a valve preamp with mute switch module going cheap. My mute switch has packed up :-/
6.
This is the 800 watt Mo Mark Frame I take it ?
Yep
7. I've got the 800 and it's the best amp I've ever had in 25 years and a LOT of rigs. tbh I'm sure it's not 'actually' 800watts, but it is reeeeeally loud! Works lovely with the valve pre-amp too.
8. Halloween Wedding last night was fun, and tonight it's our third Halloween in a row at our local pub venue. It's always really good fun and a friendly vibe. The band play punked up pop covers, like green day playing Bonnid Tyler kinda thing, it's great fun www.facebook.com/mydesignmusic
9. It's a good plan, but I don't think it would work in this case, cause the amps would have to be in clean mode when I'm using my multi fx
10. It's the stereo I'm looking at, thought I could send an out to an AER alpha by the drummer, to give you an idea it's for things like the toy piano part in 'For What Its Worth' by Placebo, or to trigger the intro to running up that hill
11. It's two channel switchers, each with channel, and boost switches, each running to a bandit that I run in stereo off a zoom multi fx. What I'm hoping to do of some tracks is bypass the zoom and use the amp distortion, but switch both off or of at the same time. Reading online for one switch with dual outputs led to me to lots of complex stuff about ground loops. I'm more a blu-tack kinda guy lol!
12. Anyone have any genius ideas for pressing two amp switches at once? I need something physically link two footswitches for my pair of peavey bandits. I'm thinking along the lines of Meccano or some such? Someone must've done it by now?
13. Hi all, I've recently had a need to trigger samples live, backing vocals, intros, etc, what's the best (CHHHHHEEEEAP!) way to do this? Looking around, the Digitech jam man seems like a plan. Anyone use one? Could I preload it with the samples I need for a set, give it's own channel to the PA and the just stomp to trigger? Whatever I get has to be something in a step on to trigger, and really does have to be very cheap and rugged.
14.
Gafbass That's the business.Looks grand.
Thanks Shame one won't fit inside the other !
15. I just bought one of the TV silver epiphone ones few days ago, a B stock bargain job. A quick set up and it's fantastic, much better than my previous epi t birds, or the risible tokai I sent back. These HB's look great for the cash. I've rated everything of theirs that I've bought. With mine I had a bit of carbon vinyl wrap left from my car, so I thought I'd go with my usual stripes, only it sorta ended up 'matching' the car
16. I recall seeing Duff McKagan horribly screw up the intro to sweet child O' mine in Paris on video, he knew it too.
17. Oh dear god. THIS is why I should never look in basses for sale :-/ Buy my amp someone damnit!!
18. I know, gutted but I've just no way of sending it these days.
19. I'm amazed this lightweight, loud, smart, USA made amp is still here!
