1. Nope, no rusty nuts here.
2. Nice, I'm currently desperate to pick up one of the silver ones for a tribute band before they all sell out, but I need to sell an amp first.
3. I had a random idea last week of a band I'd like to try, fired it at some mates who were keen, and tonight we had our first rehearsal, and I have to say it sounded really promising! I'm the guitarist/vocalist, and have spent the past week beasting myself on the material, there's a long way to go in terms of getting it 'just right', but I plan on booking a gig for the new year to set a hard deadline. Very pleased and excited, now I just have to cross my fingers they all stay enthused and onboard!
4. It's gotta go. I'd swap for a silver epi t bird. Which is a great deal for someone if they fancied it.
5. My bass is on page 1. It looks pretty different these days, but is still the one I'll never part with:)
6. Bought my fretless neck, great from start finish. Top banana :-)
7. Been there! done that!
8. Cant believe these are still going, a real once in a lifetime cab. I was idly mulling selling mine, but seeing these still here I suppose I'll hang on to them!
9. I must admit, much as I enjoy mine, it's just sitting there most of the time.
10. Likewise, I was onstage within two weeks of buying my first bass about 23 years ago, I think the longest I've been without a gig since then was about six months. It's my world. I'm not pro, and I find booking them the worst part of it all. But it's all I know, without gigging I can't imagine what I'd do. I host weekly open mic nights too, where I'll often play. Lately I've started playing acoustic and electric guitar too, so I've three different bands on the go, where I play three different instruments, and am the vocalist. So these days my bass only gigs feel like a holiday!
11. Winner winner chicken dinner!
12. I just put this on last week
13. I try to rehearse weekly, just to keep the interest and because it's fun. I also like a tight ship! We rehearse at my place in headphones using a jamhub. The basement is a rehearsal space, which is just so much better than driving to a studio, setting up, getting levels, volume wars then taking it all down. With the jamhub We each have our own private, preferred mix and volume level, the sound quality is fantastic, it's all right there in your ear, no more 'what are you playing?' Moments. It's all set up, walk in, pick up guitar/bass/sticks and play
14. Another vote for legacy here. Great strings.
15. Another peavey vote here. Great sounding cabs

My warmoth, I rather like it. Looks a bit like chocolate!
17. The GK mb112-ii is a very small, light box that can gig just fine. The fact that I have one for sale is immaterial (ahem) In all seriousness though, it's a fabulous alternative, I've owned the promethean p5110, a barefaced midget and the line 6 small combo. Bought them as portable alternatives to using my full rig, but the mb112-ii seems by far the best all round option out of those I tried.
18. I've just realised that I've no use for this fab little amp anymore!! I bought it for a purpose that never happened. It's had one low volume rehearsal and has sat idle as back up at a couple of gigs. That's it! Probably less than two hours use from new. This is the newer mark 2 version and it's an awesome little amp. Very light, plenty of power, veeeery tidy looks. Quality bit of kit. 19. I have an MB112-ii. I find it a fantastic little combo, good build and tone. Not a room shaker, but good for small gigs/monitoring. Also lovely for acoustic guitar. It doesn't sound that great compared to my main rig, but for what it is, which is a very portable, compact combo it's great. I can't speak for the older version though.
20.
Or tell him you have some "bass amp loan tickets", you post 25 of them to him 3 days before the gig for him to sell to friends and family for £5 each on the understanding he pays you £5 for each one he ruturns to you unsold when you get there but he can keep £1 from each one he sells
That's amazing!! Love it
