My warmoth, I rather like it. Looks a bit like chocolate!

The GK mb112-ii is a very small, light box that can gig just fine. The fact that I have one for sale is immaterial (ahem) In all seriousness though, it's a fabulous alternative, I've owned the promethean p5110, a barefaced midget and the line 6 small combo. Bought them as portable alternatives to using my full rig, but the mb112-ii seems by far the best all round option out of those I tried.

SOLD Gallien Krueger MB112-ii sale BIG PRICE DROP
gafbass02 posted a topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
I've just realised that I've no use for this fab little amp anymore!! I bought it for a purpose that never happened. It's had one low volume rehearsal and has sat idle as back up at a couple of gigs. That's it! Probably less than two hours use from new. This is the newer mark 2 version and it's an awesome little amp. Very light, plenty of power, veeeery tidy looks. Quality bit of kit. Specs here: http://www.gallien-krueger.com/products/combos/ I'm in Cheltenham after £200collected, not really in a position to post. -
I have an MB112-ii. I find it a fantastic little combo, good build and tone. Not a room shaker, but good for small gigs/monitoring. Also lovely for acoustic guitar. It doesn't sound that great compared to my main rig, but for what it is, which is a very portable, compact combo it's great. I can't speak for the older version though.
Or tell him you have some "bass amp loan tickets", you post 25 of them to him 3 days before the gig for him to sell to friends and family for £5 each on the understanding he pays you £5 for each one he ruturns to you unsold when you get there but he can keep £1 from each one he sells
That's amazing!! Love it

LED side Fret Markers for dark stages .....??
gafbass02 replied to Mark_ii's topic in General Discussion
I have fretfx, in fact that's me in the background on the testimonials page. I rate them very highly indeed as a practical solution. Not keen on the newest battery box though. -

Looks great, having not long finished a jazz bass build myself I'm loving it.

Centre speaker or subwoofer?
gafbass02 replied to RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE's topic in General Discussion
Yep. In 5.1 etc the centre is considered the most important speaker as it carries most of the soundtrack, primarily the vocals. The sub does just that, just the sub stuff, I used to run two subs in a 6.1 set up, I've since dumped both and my centre rear, and let my floorstanders handle the low end and actually prefer the more 'together' sound. That said after spending ten years as a richer sounds manager and having escaped I'm rather less picky these days than I used to be. -
I got this from custom world guitar parts, it's a maple unlined fretless jazz neck. The dots are in the fretted position, which is my preference tbh. It's to be supplied with a filed nut, but without tuners or bushings or string retainer, pre-drilled to fit fender style bodies. It's had virtually no use! I'll provide pics of it off the bass ASAP Here it is in situ And on a video http://youtu.be/4v1u7f3HqOA I'll post in UK. Would entertain jazz pickups as a swap. £50 plus postage uk only

Reminds me of the time I was sound checking at Glasgow SECC and my phone was in my pocket, right by my wireless transmitter, when the mrs called. Goddamn that 'ba dapa dap dapa dap' was LOUD!!
My phone goes into flight mode or off when on stage. Nothing worse than amps picking up interference or your mum calling you to ask how your gig is going.
This. Apart from the mum bit.

You may have come across some of my posts. I loved mine, it didn't feel quite as 'upmarket' as the various rays I've owned, cheapo chrome work etc but nothing too bad, and had a coolness of it's own. It kinda felt like generic Korea built type basses. Sadly mine had to go back as the neck was hugely unstable and had terrible fret sprout and a shockingly badly made neck/fretboard. Not a problem used, but I payed full new price cause I wanted the colour scheme/thin neck. I'd try another in a heart beat though.
Is this unusual then, or am I missing something really obvious?
My thought also, ? Still cool like, but just, playing bass?

EYPARTS. Hong kong based spare parts company. Build thread.

The base plates are too large, it's like tuner holes are a couple of mm closer together than standard. -

Good point on tuners, wilkinson regular elephant eats won't fit. I used these, but still had to use the wilkinson bushings as they were slightly smaller. Nut needed a lot of filing too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140642921579 My results fretted And fretless
