1. I've a Harley benton acoustic bass and love it, a pretty brilliant guitar cab of theirs too. Great vfm
2.

Hahahahah instant flashback to grotty old rehearsal rooms, more so the black and silver predecessor to that hi tech later model! They always had the knackered old folded cabs too!
3.
my parts bin special, still a work in progress
There it is again swoon
I just picked this up from BC'er Orbs (aka Tom). These are Tom's pics which are TBH better than I could do, hence I hope he doesn't mind me using them
Takes me back! Just how mine was a loooooong time ago

It's gorgeous, if you ever shift it on drop me a line!
6. As this has popped up again I'll just mention that we're still doing with no adverse affects as yet
7. Bought a switch pedal, top transaction from top to bottom:)
8. Eggy. I actually really do mean eggy lol
9. This is gonna sound weird. But to me stingrays sound: 'eggy' I cannot explain any further than that! Love the sound gutted not to have one anymore. But they sound 'eggy' to me !!!?
10. My richwood flying V really is outstanding quality for the money. More so the instrument than the the electronics but a quality guitar nonetheless. I'd reckon this could be a great buy.
11.
woo way to make the OP feel better!
Jus' sayin' like
12. Fwiw I've had two markbass amps that smelt like that (heads) for the first several hours of use, even easy bedroom use, then it went away. Dunno if that's any help
13. Sorry to hear that mate. Fwiw I returned a ray34ca for the same reasons. The neck/fretwork was a mess and no set up would fix it. Gutted..until With the same money I bought an early 90's stingray.
14. My single biggest influence
15.
. By Aquilina basses. Yum...
Oh god. Oooohh oh Oh my Oh I've made a mess
16. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigstomp/ Tbh im not sure id find a use for it, i cant see it doing much that wouldnt be achieved with a zoom B1. Id rather have the ability to change amp channels, or presets IN the app using my foot, so when practising using ampkit (much better than the IK software IME) i could go from clean to drive without having to touch the phone. This just switches the whole app in or out the chain. Anyhoo Discuss.....
17. cheers, prob not worth the risk gigging i guess
18. I prefer no break too, but the Drummist seems to need one
19. Interesting stuff, I've noticed my Boss psu will power a few boss pedals and my zoom 506, but the 506 on its own should be more than it can handle, but it does work, I'm assuming that I still shouldn't do it though in case something untoward happens, like perhaps cutting out on a transient or similar?
20. Weve often been asked to play till midnight and started later for it. Not too bad when it's not a long drive home.
21. Thanks, he's a new guy doing a great job learning almost three hours worth of stuff while we gig every weekend. Proper deep end stuff, not to mention learning his craft at the same time.
22.
Me first and the Gimme Gimmes
My band are a very similar idea. We play sort of blink 182/green day style versions of pop classics from the 80's to today. Many only recognisable from the melody and basic chord progression. I play guitar and sing, I can do neither, just basic power chords is really it. We have a basic vocal pa only. The bass player is very basic and has to borrow my amp, he plays a beaten up old five string with the B taken off. Booked every weekend into 2013. Folks love it.
