1. Not had this long from on here. It's an awesome looking little box that does a ton of stuff. It's a bit complicated in some ways, but very simple in others, I've just used it as a feedback suppressor, but realised A I don't need it, and B well. Unless I can find a bassist the bands down the pan anyway so I'm shifting all the little extras I bought. £25 plus a couple of quid postage. 2. MyDesign has always been. 'good enough' simply from nessecity. It's less than a year old, and time was always scarce. So we hit the stage quickly, but we've found crowds just love the songs, they don't care about how right my chords are, how often the bassist drops a note or if I'm sneaking a cheeky peek at the lyrics. They're too busy dancing, I figure we'll get better through evolution. And we are
3.
You really would think this is obvious, wouldn't you? Yet some people don't bother, and think they can learn material through osmosis, or divine intervention, or telepathy, or some such!
Yeah. I know one of those. Drives me nuts. :-/
4. Heh heh. Two different people have posted this on my Facebook too:)
5. Mines all passive With a one piece neck, my truss rod cover is different too. Is the electronics cover recessed on yours? Mine sits proud.
6. Played the st Paul's tavern in Cheltenham on Saturday with my guitar/vocals band MyDesign. I live playing there cause its so friendly and easy to get packed and partying. Couldn't hear a note I sang, but seeing the whole room doing the 'Saturday night' dance by Whigfield was awesome and hilarious. Great fun
7.
Note there are two cabs behind him as well! Imagine accidentally walking in front of it as Geezer turned it up to 11 and twanged an open E. You would disappear, as your body immediately reverted to its constituent electrons!
I had something like that actually happen back in '05. My band were supporting Styx at somewhere large and I took a wrong turn backstage in true spinal tap fashion. Ended up in the corridor where they ran the offstage back line. Four ampeg 8x10's and four or six Marshall 4x12's running full tilt, and I had to get down the corridor. Jeeeees!!!! Felt like i was being rearranged inside
8. Nice one. Shame were so far apart, be cool to compare them. Did you get any info on it?
9. Thought that might happen
10.
I genuinely play with two wristbands on occasion, not on top of each other of course!
Me too when playing guitar.
11. Just looked at it again. The pickups are different, a different size and shape, as is the bridge and the routing around the pickups and extended neck joint looks a bit rougher than mine too. Weird
12. Both are long gone, but the bassmaster stayed. I find it a much better bass, if not as pretty.
13. Cheers guys. It's normally about £50 each. In extreme circumstances I'd give up my share to save a gig.
14. Totally going dude we should all arrange a time and a pub:)
15. I predict that This going to be the best thread ever.
16. http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=px-G15ES2401 Only a bloomin' bassmaster Funk' !!!! For those of you that don't know I've had one of these for the best part of twenty years, kept it through owning over 60 other basses including many four figure warwicks, statii, stingrays etc, and still use it regularly. Folk always want to borrow it for the sound It's one of the best sounding and playing basses Ive ever ever come across at any price, but has always been a total mystery. As to who made it, where it came from, why so few etc. I bought mine long before the Internet and mine doesnt have the 'T' on the headstock like all the others I've come across.. (all three of them, including this one) Also mine has much smoother contouring than this from the looks of the picture. I'd remembered a tiny mention in a guitar magazine years ago that tanglewood would be releasing these 'high end' models, but they never really materialised, so I'd always figured that's probably what it was. A prototype perhaps. Once the web came long I looked high and low for them. I've been contacted twice by other owners doing the same. They both had just the T on the headstock, and no writing This one has both the 'bassmaster funk' logo and the big T. Oddities it seems! Mine... Amazing set up and nice ageing along with a mid p/j width neck and the most piano like neck pickup you'll ever hear and the most burbly, burpy bridge. The both on sound is powerful and modern and although they look the same as Epi tbird humbuckers, trust me. They sound nothing like. One of the greatest basses ever ime, IMHO etc If anyone has £300 kicking around if it's as good as mine you'd do well to snap it up!!

18. SOLD Ive not long had this, (well owned, ive borrowed it for a few months now) and I LOVE it!! Love it love it love it! So does the band, it sounds amazing, really tight and focussed with a creamy neck pickup. The set up is great with no issues at all, its not immaculate (the front is pretty much though) with a mark on the back of the neck (cant feel when playing) and a light laquer scratch on the back. Its an epiphone LP300, made for a short time in the early 1990's in Korea. Its the same as any other Epi Les Paul, but with a bolt on, which i prefer, although has Les Paul fans in fits of rage!! Ive always preferred bolt on's. BUT i find Les Paul's a bit uncomfy on the forearm and the top fret access. I'd struggle to post, (would have to be insured and neck off if i did) Anyway, pics..(its hard to capture the sparkly goldness im afraid, it looks more mustard in pics, but is sparkly gold)
19. nobody? this could be a permanent position and its a ton of fun!
