1. Those are a very manageable 40lbs each thankfully
2. We should all meet up for a pint beforehand.
3.
I wasn't nominating Bob for the annoying frontman thing, just responding to a post where someone couldn't think of his name. Bob's got a great voice IMO.
S'alright mate. I wasn't offended I'm gonna add a +1 for Morrissey
4.
Bob Catley.
Hahah. Who guested on my old bands album doing backing vocals
5. Might have some rock dep work coming up Cheltenham way
6. Some rehearsals would be ideal, just to make sure everything's in place before we hit a stage, but the songs are so simple that endless hours of whip cracking wouldn't be nessecary lol These are the most likely dates. We wont know for sure until the bassist gets an operation date from the doctor then all its all systems go. June 2nd 2pigs Cheltenham Mon 4th Bayshill Chelt afternoon June 15th. Swan in Evesham. June 29th Rolleston Swindon June 30th Swindon August 18th Bayshill Cheltenham We 'd provide recordings of our versions of all tracks too for learning. And keep the set the same each time Limited to a strict. 2x45 set for ease. Our full song list is: Wherever whenever Paparazzi poker-face girls just want to have fun something kind of ooh Friday Saturday night Ooh ah just a little bit spice up your life Oops I did it again total eclipse of the heart firework fight for your right I like it rough wannabe think we're alone now relax hungry like the wolf Stay I kissed a girl trouble Running up that hill price tag thousand miles breathe Omen Nancy boy danger zone the look when I come around back for good teardrop motorcycle emptiness girl all the bad guys rooftops material girl screamager Basket case last Friday night The bad touch The only way is up Party rock anthem All 'four chord' versions, basic arrangements but 'rocked up'
7. Hey all. Oh the irony! Looks like I'm going to need a dep for a series of gigs over the summer. Mainly June. We play rocked up versions of pop stuff like bonnie Tyler, spice girls, Katy perry, lady gaga etc. it's awesome fun and the gigs are paid. All the gigs will be Gloucestershire area around Cheltenham area mainly. There's quite a lot of songs, but nothing taxing or tricky and we have a free rehearsal space ( we use a jamhub, it's great) All I need is someone who will learn the songs and turn up when they are needed, no huge commitment, no politics etc it's a three piece and a really fun band. It may turn into a full time post depending on our bassists recovery after an op. If you're interested please drop me a line for more details. The band is called 'MyDesign' Gaf
8.
Do you mean Humbucker Music of Green Lane Rd? Thats where I bought my Marshall Super lead and Moore & Stanworth 4x12 from. I also bought my s/h Precision from them for £240 in 1979.
That's where I bought my infamous blue 62ri jazz
9. I use my iPhone with an irig and a selection of apps, ampkit, amplitube, garage band (can't work it for the life of me though) and robick for playing back tracks/altering their key/tone/pitch/tempo etc
10. Silver thunderbird Dammit. What the hell can i sell now !!? I've nothing left to flog argh!!
11. Crazy train http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFw1HDUJGz0&sns=em
12. Interesting! I'm having the same debate. I thought that, something by queen and ??? Ideas?
13. And another. No more tears this time. And no. I never mastered the funny timing thing. I sorta never really tried that hard tbh. It messed with my simple little mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3jrNWgDSqM&sns=em
14. Does anyone have one of these that they use? I'm about to need one for a PA and wondered if any of you lot had something you could email me that you use regularly? Or even one you could share on here as rig/gear lending comes up really often.
15. A couple of years back with 'the wizards of oz' at the limelight in Crewe. Looks empty but it wasn't ..honest ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSonPOWP4mQ&sns=em
16. I have an acoustic bass and two guitar cabs from them. They are all brilliant:)
17. Missed out on a chance to play with dressed to kill at a KISS expo a few years back. Totally forget why now! Flu rings a bell. Had my rig recognised a few times but don't think I've seen any other bc'ers bands.
18. I had a similar problem once. Turned out to be the power supply. I moved it further from the pedals and it the noise stopped.
19. Über stunning Tight, focused and punchy with a real solid. '3d' depth to the sound. The top is really smooth and presentable, not brittle or quacky or over blown. I like a really complete sound not too scooped or bassy and these just present a perfectly balanced tone With very little work. In addition to this they are a great size and weight to manage 40lbs and are beautifully made. Just a pleasure to own. One of the best purchases of any sort I've ever made.
20. It prob will, but that's ok, one open, one closed, hopefully the overall sound will blend. It's only an extra option really. Cheers loads guys. Gotta love BC
21. I prefer a bolt on (from having had two very similar warwick basses, one thru, one bolt on) and Ive always found the bolt ons 'punchier'
22. The blue jazz is just an extension of me these days. it's just fab. it's incredible how great that bass master is though. No tanglewood logo anywhere I just found out from some digging. It's Korean and I paid £350 in a sale about 1994/5 Ish. Adapting to the different cues is def the trickiest part
