  1. Just wanted to say welcome to the board mate. Hope you enjoy it I've only examined rather than played the overwaters but they impressed me and I was very sceptical at first tbh.
  2. Cheers boss. Don't worry about it if they are all too far away. We don't stray too far from our neck of the woods.
  3. There is literally 'always one'. What's up with that!?!
  4. I'm interested! I'm really really struggling too! And have a pa and huge set list It's doing my head in trying to get bookings!
  5. Two for one here! I'm on 'guitar' and 'vocals' ! And basschatter davemuadib is on bass, playing my old bass through my fx and my old head lol. ( his cabs tho;) Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qnMl-iyUqM&sns=em
  6. For us it's the drummer disappearing down the back of his kit wiggling and tightening things every other song. Drum kits are a mystery to me.
  7. Alex bought my Kingman bass. Top fella, easy transaction, and as it turns out we went to school together.
  8. Won't play anything without a compressor to keep it all nice
  9. I used to run that rig, slap a hartke vxl bass attack infront of it and job done. Rather like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnThxCeCJfg&sns=em
  10. In waiting for roasted strings. Now they will definitely sound better.
  11. Oh mate :-( I know how much that band meant to you. Don't panic, take stock and gently put the feelers out. Much BC love your way mate. Gaf
  12. The only time I ever plugged an RCD in at a venue it instantly blacked out the whole building for a good hour. :-/
  13. Had it once as a lad. Constant belters off the mic all night. After the ( two hour) gig I found out the engineer in the studio the day before had disconnected the earth wire in my amps plug to get rid of the hum... Never thought to mention it to me though! :-/. I was barefoot and covered in sweat and beer too. Sucked.
  14. Love this thread. I know exactly that quiet, serene feeling. Totally fab moment. My best were back in Double Cross, gently dozing in the middle seat of the van, really feeling like I was 'living the dream'. Now I can drive I still love it. Never go far these days though.
  15. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Particularly live. I just bought one for the compression and de-esser but don't really get it, and it's pretty hard to try it out properly through the pa in the cellar! Can't really hear much difference. I need to trial it live but there's never time for Faffing with new gear. Does anyone have any recommended settings perhaps? Cheers Gaf
  16. Very interesting about the cabs actually presenting a lower load than advertised. Bit worrying in a way.
  17. Never had a problem with mine either
  18. Hah hah. No I'm a huge show off though. I use these: https://fretfx.com/ And Infact I'm the background pic on the testimonials page (thought I'd get that in there lol) Very happy with them. Preferred the older battery boxes though.
  19. I have the side stick on ones. Great for dark stages and those awkward moments that sometimes catch you out. Don't always use em, but it's very nice to have em ready. Then again I'm a fairly 'flamboyant' player onstage.
  20. Ryan bought my igig very easy to deal with. Top stuff
  21. Cheers mate. Very kind a reunion seems unlikely sadly, it's all a bit messy and complicated, with relationships and other interests going on, but Suze and I are seriously considering doing something. Wether it would be like this or not I don't know yet. I'd quite like to keep some of the material alive though.
  22. For me they are pretty much the best bass thing I've ever bought. Wonderful, huge, solid sounding cabs. (AE210's).
