1. I'm quite tempted to sell my shuttle to fund the 1x10 combo (again!) cause I'm in need of a decent, powerful but portable combo; and the head can run my Bergs for everything else. Just not quite sure I've got the guts to sell the shuttle. Especially after my luck with promethean. (Two combos and TWO 1x10 cabs have let me down, and the bag!) Sounds great though.
2. Thanks! I can't either. I'm taking a loss on this from what I paid and that was far cheaper than all the others on eBay at the time. I'm all sorted for trades now though thanks, straight sale only please, not dropping any further either I'm afraid.
3.
Nice one Gaf! Muchos gracias and all that
welcome boss
4. Here y'go bud, a few bigger pics of my old one (NOT the one for sale but it'll look the same)
5. looks fantastic, id love one of those old tokais. I had a new tokai Tbird and it was junk, such a shame.
6. I've got a dep gig next Thurs, but free other nights
7. You know what, I've no idea what happened to my old VS either!!! Roam free fella!
8. Mines in bits awaiting a trip to Howard.
9. Likewise my zoom b9.1-> shuttle 9.0-> bergantino AE210's Sounds great for guitar too
10. Yeah. A zoom G2/G2.1 I'm 'playing' a tiny bit of guitar as an amusing diversion. :-0 Badly I might add, I started on bass and have always payed little notice to guitars, funny little things that they are! Cheers for the bump
11. Love the way you are so supportive of bassgear. The tonehammer looks amazing, and what a cool name too! But I'm put off by the same niggle I have with my shuttle 9. This whole mid freq/mid level malarky. I like to control the high and low mids separately.
12.
no cause my mouth wants to go the same speed as my arm
This. And the same rhythm. I can do it a bit if I play with a pick in a punky way, but I rarely do that tbh!
13. I got mine in a bundle with the bag. It's a nice bag, but pointless. The gramma has a handle anyway
14. Reading Matt's thread in gear porn reminded me about this, so I thought I'd push it up for newbies and anyone who missed it the first time. I've added a new pic too.
15. Checking in on the 'still running my now battered jap jazz I bought as a teen' club :0) Love the thread and the bass dude:)
16. Bless ya. Thanks it does sound cool, I normally don't Favour the neck, but for this track it was exactly the sound I was after. Part of making a J sound like a P I find, is to play it like a P! So slowed down and over the neck pickup.
17. Sorry fella. Not checked this for a while. I'll add For reference for other buyers it's usually best to sling me a PM if you are interested, and I post uk only I'm afraid.
18.
5-string? ps: Your link doesn't work, I'm afraid.
That's weird, it's ok for me. Ah well type 'lap it up' 'loungefly' into YouTube and you'll hear it. my pickup is a four, but a five might be something he could do. If anyone clever knows how to embed the video for reference if people check out the subject please do. The band have split up so I'm not plugging anything other than the pickup lol.
19. I do have one that just nails it (imo) but ironically it's a wizard prototype. Only a few exist as Andy was unable to make it fit neatly enough into the casing. (Fixed mine by expanding the holes with scissors) It's called the gaffer and really is amazing. I used it on this recording (not the video, we mimed) LAP IT UP Wether he's ready to knock up another I don't know, but it's truly the nuts!!
20. I've had a fabric Ritter for ages, what's the big deal? Gets coat. ...
21. I don't miss it, but often wish for one more like the KSD had. I find playing the widdly bit in sir duke always throws me on a 24
