1. Cheers guys. I dont need the laptop for driving lol! I don't need the midget cause now I can drive and take a berg or two. :-)
2. Hey all. I know I sold one of these not long ago and bought this one but since then ive passed my driving test, so a hand portable amp is less nessecary! And i really need a laptop. Hence a tentative feeler for this. It's about two months old, only left the house once, only used once. The rest of the time it's been sat in my room in it's roqsolid cover. This Is the midget T version and the cover would be included. As it's so new and provided with a good quality cover (blue piping) I'm going to ask the same as I did the last midget t. Which is £450. Inc cover. By cheque or paypal gift or cash on Collection much preferred. Delivery maybe but at my convenience as I'd have to find the time to get it packed and sorted. I can't deliver myself etc cause I've only been driving a month and I'm really not up to motorways etc yet lol! Check the Barefaced website for detailed specs. But it's light enough to carry around in one hand for a long way. And then loud enough to kill everyone when you get there! Ive filled a large pub, unmic'd with one of these against acoustic (mic'd) electric, keys and drums plus three vocals. And it doesn't break a sweat! Pm me if you might be interested or if you can recommend an excellent laptop up to £500! I don't know computermabobs at all!!
3. There y'go y'see. Come here and it's all sorted.
4. It stands for Formerly k(N) own as Altus. Tenous!! It's because it was introduced as the Altus bass and then they got done over the name (I forget by whom) and had to change it quick. Hence the slightly shoddy FNA. Should be fkaa! I gigged the heck out of an FNA jazzman for years and I'd love to buy this but I'm too skint! But I do regret selling it. Fantastic basses. If the taxman gives me money and this is still here then hmmmmm
5. I hold my fingers as though holding a plectrum and then play exactly the same as using a pick, but using my nails. Cos I'm 'ard.
6. Doesn't look as bad as flying into a bass solo section that starts at the top of the neck In a very big venue cause the lighting lady chose that moment to make it go dark for just a smidge too long! Hence the lights for those either way too dark, or simply too blinded by stage lights moments.
7. No way, I've had em for years, quite tatty too but still going. Like anything I guess
8. Dont worry mate, they really aren't as fragile as they make out
9. Another HUGE recommendation for these strings from me. I've used them for years with no complaints and found I prefer them to branded roto's. They seem to last longer! Wish they weren't quite so long, although they have got shorter than they were. Very classy indeed for the price, and I've used them on some VERY big stages. When I can't afford elixirs these are my next choice.
10. Glad i saw this, ive been meaning to check her out for ages, a trip to the local cd store is in order, So where should I be starting to dip in for maximum funkage? Any to avoid?
11. I had the Jonny Brooke. Good bass but nothing standard. If anyone wants my sonic blue sue Ryder and can pick it up from Cheltenham I'm quite happy to part with it,(for less than £150 lol!) I took a peek and bought one, It's fantastic, I'm happy to keep it, but it'll never leave the bedroom and I know me, I'll never get round to mods lol. Pm if you want it. It's not 'for sale' as it were, but I've got one I wont use, in the spirit of Basschat, if there's disappointed people out there that really wanted one and missed out then it's silly me just sitting on it, I'll pass the karma on and let it go at a loss with the blocks. (not the stripes though;) Let's be VERY clear, it's the one in the MIDDLE!!!
12. What he said. Aurora project. Already I'm looking at my sue Ryder thinking, hmmm, looks great but without a bridge pickup I just cant play the damn thing! Did it again lol!
13. thats great, i just wish i liked em ah well
14. While were talking tanglewood I thought I'd randomly post this. It's a 'bassmaster funk' I think made by tanglewood. I've changed the hardware for gold and added the adhesive 'inlays' but it's an awesome bass. I've kept it for about 15 years. As you were.
15. done that so many times on the warmoth site. Hovered over the buy button before realising exactly how much it was gonna cost all in!
16. Hah hah. Ace :-D it's pretty fat in all dimensions. My penis I mean And the neck
17. My tone pot works brilliantly, and they have a really solid feel with a positive action. For me the downside (other than it's a P lol) is the neck is huge, and the fingerboard very flat. But utterly cool nonetheless.
18. I think the blocks were from creative-cuts or something like that.
19.
Blocks?? How? Oh god. A white one just became even harder to resist.
Adhesive ones from eBay
20. I'm sure you can, I just find it sounds very 'twelvey' no matter what I do lol.
