Great tune and well played Mick, but you didn't use your little finger once.
OK that may be how you do, but its 25% of your available reach and faster more intricate stuff will benefit greatly from you having it available.
Sorry for the crits, but that's my honest view

The measurements for above case are,
width 18" depth(front to back) 13" and height when laid flat is 6"
There is thin foam on all interior surfaces and the block of pick and pluck. -
I have one also, it was my first proper bass.
My friend who is a music tech lecturer insists it is the best bass ever for recording and steals it for seasons at a time. -
Peavey mixing desk.
6 mic pre amps
Pan
High and low EQ, sounds quite musical.
Monitor send pre fade
FX send post fade
Fader.
Phantom power for all chans.
Unusually this mixer also has two mono line ins and insert points on the first two channels and stereo line inputs on the other 4 with independent level control, so you can actually mix 6 mic inputs and 4 stereo line inputs at the same time, or use one for you reverb return and another for your laptop/ipad etc.
The master section has monitor master out, on a pot,FX master out, on a pot,and Main mix out on a fader.
It can, should you so wish, be run off batteries, perhaps to record to a laptop in the middle of a field somewhere.
I used to use this as my at home practice station, where I could mix my bass and a laptop with spotify or YouTube and listen on headphones so I didn't annoy the cats.
I now use jamup on my ipad so this needs to go.

New PA rig advice please chaps . . . Active + passive setup
in General Discussion
Posted · Edited by Monckyman
A passive active hybrid is perfectly acceptable,I use active tops and passive subs myself in my older rig.
It is more of a ball ache to set up,because you need to run XLR signal cables and 240v to the tops and speaker cable to the subs but no major hardship.
It is pretty versatile as you can easily add the subs in when needed and quickly patch in the x over for bigger gigs, yet manage without with 15"tops in pubs and bars etc.
Your subs probably have a high pass already (worth checking) so all you need to do is find the best cross over point on your x over.
With my active 15" tops I go for a quite low 80hz as I like the poke it gives the kick in the tops while leaving the subs to provide warmth and "feel".
Others like to make the subs work that low mid range up to 160/200hz to get a cleaner more efficient signal to the tops.(this is where my smaller rig is set, app)
Depends on your subs etc.
Have a play for different flavours.
If you can, try to ensure your crossover gives you a volume pot for each frequency band, so you can balance the two elements without resorting to turning the amps up and down.
If you can afford it, get a Driverack speaker management system or similar,as this will give you high pass, level out per band, EQ,limiters to protect your speakers, and compression to add a bit of chunk, plus you can save a couple of presets for with or without subs.
As JT mentioned, with 15"tops,you won't need the subs in average sized gigs.
I took mine always though, whether needed or not,I liked the sound!
That being said, I have just bought some nice 10" Passives for the smaller pokier sound with smaller boxes and less cables but I couldn't use them at all without the subs.
Good luck!
