Difference in MIA and MIM basses? MIM Basses are made in Mexico by skilled Mexican workers. MIA Basses are made in America by skilled Mexican workers. Get one that feels good to play, because music is all about feel and not logos. You can upgrade pickups bridges pots etc, but if it plays like sh*t, you`ll play like sh*t. I want a seppo bass, but I`m not daft enough to convince myself it`s anything other than pose. Never played a crap MIJ though.

I need to sell this combo to repair some subs It`s rated at 250watts into 4ohms, and the load IS 4ohms so you get all the watts but can`t add another cab. It`s in good condition, the carpet is untorn and the amp is unscratched. It`s on wheels which I believe snap out quite easily. I`ve used this on quite a few pub gigs and a few weddings when I knew space was an issue and always got a good clear sound with decent volume. I liked putting it on a metal tilt stand and aiming it at my head I do however have lots of Ampeg stuff to use and I can`t justify having this combo gathering dust when other equipment needs repairing. Looking for £[s]220[/s] £200 ono. I would post but we`d need to discuss how and how much etc.I`ll take a guess at app £20 I would also deliver in the Northwest for a tenner, Manchester for free. Hey ian! I`m just re-checking measurements of your case and matching it to the Marshall DBS410 you have. According to Marshall the cab is H 698 x W 698 x D 380. http://www.marshallamps.com/heritage/dbs/dbs_04.asp Is it the model at the bottom of this page? ta Dave

I use the Alto 15s a lot as floor wedges and they are quite useful in a loud scenario.
It was supposed to be a light hearted "don't take yourself too seriously" jibe. Certainly no offence meant and nice people are quite often miserable or grumpy :-D
Have we met? I also think that people posting how they would like the item only makes it seem more desirable to a potential buyer.

Can you recommend a mixer with FX and three aux outs?

The Allen + [s]Grief [/s]Heath has much the nicer EQ . -

I bought a set of Japanese Fender P Pickups from Geek-san last week and they arrived quickly, well packaged, and sound excellent! The price was damn good too. He told me when they were posted and replied to all messages promptly. Buy with confidence. Thanks Geek99

Just bought a set of Chromes off Lozz, I stuck a wanted ad up and 24 hours later they`re in my clutches! Excellent comms, and the fastest delivery on Basschat. Thanks Lozz : )

They are indeed mighty in the low end, especially through a PF500/SVT410HLF But for me.. I need more mid range clarity for loads of songs with pick and grind and the flats/thumpers are just a little too velvety for that pop sound. I`m not going back to roundwounds, my fingers would never forgive me, and I`ve just found some Chromes for my Jazz also. So in conclusion, reggae, country, serge gainsborough type 60s stuff or dance, all would suit the Thumpers but if you`re doing Killers and Razorlight etc, you might need either roundwounds or a pickup with a little more mid range presence. I`m sticking a Jap P pup in and see how I go on as a cheap comparison. MM

You`re better than you think you are, though modesty is a nice attribute to have. Never pay for an audition rehearsal space again! Good luck finding a band. MM
