  1. Very good luck with this, shame most of the forum is otherwise engaged along with the press. MM
  2. Those businesses will surely go bust. Then in a year or so, the Gov will roll out a "regeneration grant" to stimulate and rebuild business in the devastated areas, and those grants will go to whoever has the longest tongue at the time. Who pays? We do. Call me cynical. I am.
  3. Unless it`s absolutely solid you may be better getting it reconed.
  4. I think for bigger cabs the only solution would be a flight case and acoustic compensator (bit of wood) to tilt it back a bit. I do this for someone else who uses an Ampeg 810 on a 2x10 combo case laid flat, and a 3x1 bit of black gaffa`d wood. Trick then is to make sure the case isn`t that large but can fit ALL your sh*t in, like amp, cables, pedals, power etc.

This works well with a tap tempo delay on one send and a nice reverb on the other, quality FX, wish I had the cash. Bump.
  7. Been pondering this myself. Been using a 115 and a 410 and the height is great, but now I`m using the 410 HLF on it`s own it`s too low. So what do I use to get it up to chest height?
  8. Looks a bit tyred to me.
  9. I say go for it. The statistical chances of you getting two dodgy ones are infinitesimal. Plus, you have to start trusting it or you may as well send it back. Or, sell it to me for a couple of hundred
  10. Is this gone then?
  11. Annoy the neighbours, it`s for art!
  12. Don`t suppose there`s any possibility of you relocating to Manchester?
  13. Add padding for shoulders.
  14. Payment first.Insure it. Why are you wrapping it? It`s a FLIGHTCASE! It`s meant to be shipped around the world, that`s it`s purpose in life. The only thing I would do is gaffa tape the butterfly catches flat so they don`t stick out. If you must wrap it, just go for thick cardboard and miles of parcel tape.
  15. +1 Paint.
  16. Permafrost=CHOON. Loads of chorus, rolled off tone and some bendy strings I reckon, plus loads of talent!
  17. I think the best one out of that lot is Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers!
  18. Top points for getting up, bonus points for Wilco tunes. Bet you can`t wait to go again hey?
  19. Tom bought my blingful gold tuners! He paid straight off and all went smooth as a babys bum. Thanks Tom.
  20. Come on man ffs, wit de link. Nobodies going to laugh and stare. Bet it was me anyway. Oh, never on any account go into a music shop. Full of eedjiuts.
  21. After constantly chopping and changing from ashdown and eden and ending up with the LMK II and a rake of Ampeg cabs I`m all set. I think I`ll definitely be getting an Ampeg PF500 in the new year but I`ll keep the LMKII as a backup/2nd rig and the "Hampeg Likkle Fatty" as he`s now known will have to be prised from my cold dead hands. Rig sorted, just want a good Yank Precision now
  22. These are seriously excellent sounding cabs. Every time I use mine it`s a revelation. Bump for quality!
  23. Some people have this problem, the trick is to keep the volume down or try monitoring with one earpiece off. Sade used to refuse to wear headphones in the studio because of this, so an elaborate rig of two monitors wired out of phase in the live room had to be used. The idea being if positioned correctly the out of phase signal wouldn`t be picked up by the mono source (mic). It worked coz her recordings sound great.
  24. Stripped down for Rockabilly?
  25. Welcome Bilbo Jr!
