regarding the one E roto sound string... last night i fitted a new set on 'Warwick M label stings', but the new E was faulty!, it wasn't round properly, and sounded horrible. i ordered it alongside with some stuff from Thomman, so there was no point getting a refund, they where only £10. lesson of the story, just sting to the good strings!

Hello guys! I've got a Fender Jazz USA Std, in Olympic White / tort pick guard. Its 100% mint! brand new!, its so new in fact it still has the original fender strings on! Come with Case/case candy etc etc. There is not a mark on it at all trust me I'm looking for a Fender P bass as a trade, obviously if its not in the same condition, age etc then a cash adjustment with have to also be added!, (or maybe a Roadworn jazz, i fancy one of those!) I'll get photos up later on if anyone is interested! Thank-you!
Look at it this way. With things like Sportscars and helicopters it's fairly normal for someone to put in an early order before they even have went into production then sell it. Usually because someone comes along and is willing to pay a premium not to go onto the back of a waiting list. I guess Custom shop stuff would run a similar theory. I guess works a bit like. It costs £2000 but has a 12 month waiting list. Some nice Bob says I'll have one and orders a fairly basic run of the line down the middle spec. When he gets it he advertises it. He gets it meanwhile Paul says I want a Custom shop. Oh sh*t I can't be arsed waiting a year. Oh hold on there's one there I can have now at only £2500 Plus you have the advantage of paying when the exchange rate is in your favour and selling when it doesn't work out so good so it looks a better deal to a prospective buyer. .
Agh right I get it now! Thanks for the info

just a bit odd, thats all. surely theres no reason why someone would get fender to make them a custom bass and then sell it before playing it. i mean it would have costed loads! what are grey imports?

Oh yeah I suppose it is! Why is the bridge so far forward though?! Bit of an uninspiring eBay ad for such an expensive bass. Why would someone sell a new custom guitar though?
This used to be mine, it's a blinder of a bass! I shifted it for the same reason it's being shifted now. Its a killer bass, if you like that sort of thing
Playing it is awesome fun too! its the best bass i have tbh, but that dont really mean anything when you prefer the look of a stingray haha i did my grade 8 on it!!!! and got 19/20 on all three pieces! so it have good luck in the basswood grain!
