SOLD please note :This is a Fender copy. Don't be fooled by the cheap price, this it a great quality bass and better than some Fenders I've used. I doesn't have the name so it it doesn't have the value but... it plays, feels and sounds like a good one! The tuners seem very close to the Fender Highway One - solid well made and keeps the bass in tune. Nice straight neck with a responsive truss rod (adjustment at the headstock end). Good set up with a low fast action. Aesthetics are cool, Cobalt metallic blue , 1960's Fender logo. Maple skunk stripe neck and rosewood fretboard Used but excellent condition - few minor bumps and scrapes otherwise no issues trade offers considered (between you and me I fancy a semi acoustic type thingy or hollow body hofner type jobby ) wanna try it out? : I'm near Southend on Sea
6. brilliant photo - makes you want to own it!
7.
You were 15 hours later actually.....but whose counting?
oops...sorry folks... but feel free to duplicate your entries on my post too, if you've got loads of time on your hands
8.
At least he's not claiming it to be a Fender neck I suppose.
but he is! the ad heading is 'Fender Jazz Bass neck' so I think that constitutes calling it a Fender
9. Fakey wakey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i already posted this one geezers - now we got it twice!
10. can't be genuine...... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321224080701
11.
This is a California series bass http://www.ebay.co.u...=p2047675.l2557 made in USA and Mexico. Serial numbers all started AMX. The writing at the top of the headstock I think says 'American Traditional'. I've heard of them but don't know much about them. Edit : here we go http://www.sputnikmu...ad.php?t=553918 looks like it's an early equivalent of a Highway 1.
I think you're right - probably genuine then - first time I've come across it
12. if it is a fender, then its a Mex... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151133484970?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648

15. thank gawd for that! saves me fighting with myself! congratulations to to you and the buyer!!!
16. yeh! - I've given up on the idea, although my 'series one Alembic' did it and it was good to know your on full power all time. I've installed isolation switches on all my basses now so if in passive mode i can switch off the battery so there's no drain. Particularly handy if you have more than one bass on stage and the other is plugged in and on standby.
17.
A few pros and cons came up in this thread: http://basschat.co.u..._remote%20power
thanks for that.....!!!
18. anyone tried this? I've a PSU for pedals that can run up to about 10 pedals. I only use a tuner and compressor so I have quite a bit of capacity left. I've made quite a long cable from the psi to the pedal so the actual psu unit itself stays behind my amp. This idea works well. It then occurred to me that it could be used to power my JEast preamp. A bit nervous about trying it however as I dont want to blow up the amp - suggestions - is it workable?
19. looks more like 'surf green' to me.... which is better..
20. got some ultra jazz pups - brill - thanks
